I agree. Tablets are great for specific functions. If you have a handful of apps that you use on the regular that require very basic input, then they're great. (Basically, how you use a smartphone, but with a bigger screen.)
Laptops are good for doing a wider array of tasks.
Honestly, if you're trying to be as "agile" as possible - "Why not both"?
