For the married OTers, do you do girls trips or guys trips?

I’m married with kids. My “guy” trip is mowing the lawn in silence for an hour a week.

Just begging for trouble. There's almost always a scandal or some sort of drama as a result.

I'll do an occasional golf trip with the boys and she'll occasionally do a weekend shopping trip with girls. But all of our big trips are together or together with friends and family.

Yes.

I'm a proud member of a group of guys from LSU that go to one away football game a season. We drink copiously, eat nothing but jambalaya and boudin, and get back to our caveman roots.

I also go on multi-night kayak camping trips with my buds.

My wife goes on a trip to Florida with some of her girl friends and does yoga and stuff.

We trust each other and realize the value of time away from each other with good friends.

Yep.

Exactly. There's nothing dramatic or overly wild happening on my trips with my girlfriends. Even on my bachelorette trip in Cabo, we went out to an actual bar only one night and I think we were back at the hotel by 11.

Going on a group trip without my husband in ~6 weeks (he's invited - doesn't want to go) to Dominican Republic.

Why would I want to go on vacation without my wife?

Yes, we used to do one every year before COVID, then we took a couple years off, but started up again in 2022.

My wife also goes on a girls trip once a year.

My husband has two guy trips a year.

I don't have any unless you count me taking my girls to Disney every year for a fricking dance comp. Outside of that I don't do girls trips, prob because i don't have many "girl" friends.

I mean... sometimes. By guys trips I go to the deer camp with my buddy and my brother and she goes to like Orlando or Nashville with her sisters.

After 15 years of marriage, it's pretty laid back.

My wife and her sisters and mom do that. One of her sisters has access to a condo in Orange beach through her boss. My wife is the second youngest at 57. They have been doing this the last 4 or 5 years I think. My wife does not always go.

I'm not married, but I am basically married, and we are perfectly ok with guys-trips or girls-trips or whatever, but we very rarely do because its more fun going places and doing things together.
