We are approaching forty.
Figuring out how to cook for a picky eater has been a challenge, but doable.
One club we belonged to had a good mantra for whoever were doing maintenance on the building, cooking for group meals:
Whoever does the work gets to say how it's done.

Great post. 43 years for me and the Mrs. Both now recently retired. Enjoying our hobbies and the grandkids. She’s the best thing that ever happened to me. I hit the marriage lottery.

Nah, man. I'm also very young. 21, and I graduate college in a month. Lots of great advice that I will keep in mind when the time comes around.

Married 50 years.
I have been married 41 yrs in May.
Tell yourself this is a commitment to your marriage. There have been some rough waters for me and my Natalie but we worked thru them. It’s worth it though guys knowing I have my girl still.

t must have been awesome growing up in a time when marriage was culturally incentivized. Sadly, as a 29yr old I cannot relate. Take care
Imagine being 29 and needing permission from “the culture” to do anything.
Sad.

Mrs Lepew and I make 45 years on the 21st of this month. In all honesty, I wouldn’t be alive without her. She made me become a better person and a better man…

You must not still live in the South, marriage is still certainly culturally incentivized down here.
That may be true to some degree, but you know what is incentivized even more than marriage? Divorce, and it is especially incentivized for women. As a man who has been married a very long time, our current state of marriage is broken. I recognize times have changed and so has this next generation of men and women. Social media for one is a cancer especially for women. Comparison is the thief of joy.

Also, 20 years later she will remember the stupid comment you made when you did not practice in your mind beforehand what to say. You will pay for that comment many times over
I lolled. So true. The stuff you say AND the stuff you do (or don’t do.)

Been together for 45 years and have definitely been through the ups and downs throughout the years. One thing has remained constant and that is our love for each other and our commitment to make things workout. We now enjoy our three grand kids and have our fourth on the way. Retirement has opened new doors for us with a lot more traveling and much less stress. It's our life long journey and it's a fun ride.

The single mothers in LA and MS say otherwise.

How about just learning to clean up after yourself. Good grief, man, peeing standing up is a gift from God.
My wife and I have separate bathrooms and I am responsible for keeping mine clean or how I want it and she does the same to hers. Saves a lot of trouble

Remember this, sex eventually leads to children, therefore sex is very expensive emotionally and financially.

Damn dude, you got it. It doesn't require social media, but women and wussified men let social media throw an anchor around their necks, and just eat drowning, regardless of the impact.
