So you’re good if nothing really changes except pregnant women going to different states to kill their innocent child?

Of course they are, because they aren't really "as pro-life as you get" any more than they're as "pro-2A as you get."

It’s Trumps fault for setting a party platform to not protect life.

This is the part of civics these guys miss. The President is responsible for the party platform and its policies.

We need leadership, not just a mouthy demagogue.

This is more a message for the hardcore pro-lifers than liberals.

Trump is telling the extreme end of the party they need to chill.

I think it has more to do with statements like this:

quote:

Biden said:

Trump once said women must be punished for seeking reproductive health care – and he’s gotten his wish. Women are being turned away from emergency rooms, forced to go to court to seek permission for the medical attention they need, and left to travel hundreds of miles for health care…

With all his empty words on fertility treatments, Trump doesn’t tell you the MAGA Republicans he controls in Congress have put forward bills that could ban fertility treatments and that the Speaker of the House he empowered is one of the strongest supporters for a national abortion ban in the nation.

Let there be no illusion. If Donald Trump is elected and the MAGA Republicans in Congress put a national abortion ban on the Resolute Desk, Trump will sign it into law.

Biden added that he is “determined” to restore federal abortion protections if him and Kamala Harris get a “Democratic Congress”.

And this:

quote:

Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia said that Trump was “singularly responsible” for the end of federal abortion protections:

An old saying goes: “watch what they do, not what they say.” Donald Trump is singularly responsible for the overturning of Roe & ripping away women’s freedoms—& he “proudly” takes credit for it. He’d sign a national abortion ban into law—no matter how much he tries to deny it.

It's not Trump's fault that abortion is a non-starter on the national level. Sure, Trump could endorse a 15 week ban, but he knows he'd lose.

Polling has remained largely consistent for decades on pro life vs pro choice and when you break it down to having restrictions the vast majority are against abortion with no restrictions.

Key swing states have re-elected Republicans who support heart beat bills.

Why did it take him so dadgum long to clarify this? It's almost like he was waiting for polling data or something.

As a True Moderate that is pro-abortion, I like this. Federalism is a wonderful thing.

So Alabama says life begins at conception.

Can you claim a pre born child tax credit there?

If so, does that apply to other states who do not believe that?

Either a fetus is a citizen or not. Trump knows this and he will need to explain why "life" in one state should not have the same definition in another.

What’s the point in winning if he does nothing?

And Trump would be right. If folks are so inclined to have abortion on demand available to them, let them move to a blue state where they're taxed up to their eyeballs and where any trip to the grocery store could prove fatal thanks to overwhelming crime.

Oh no, we can't have states rights. The feds must tell us how to do everything (as long as it supports what Dems want).

There is a constitutional argument for banning abortion.

There is no constitutional argument for enshrining it.

Is there a pre-born tax credit in any jurisdiction? This isn’t a gotcha. Is a 19 year old alive? Do parents get a tax credit for that?
