I don’t think that Jay or anyone in the staff for that matter is telling anyone to “only swing at a certain pitch” with two strikes. That’s on the players if they go down looking with RISP. You can see it on Jays face everytime, not much else he can do there.

What blows my mind is most of the time they took the first strike that looked pretty good and put themselves down in the count. Whether that’s a called take or not I don’t know.
