And nothing happens to the other driver. They may get a fine or their license suspended but they were already driving without insurance, you think a suspended license is going to bother them?

I've said it before and a few bleeding hearts don't like to hear this because "we're over-criminalized already" or "jails are already too crowded", but driving without a valid license, active insurance, and/or active registration should result in jail time. Because the current set up is not deterring people from driving illegally enough because they don't fear the consequences of it.

At the very least if cops don't want to pull over every car without a plate or temp tag (they already don't, I see cops drive by them and do nothing and I know if I can see it they can), this should happen for any accident that happens and someone falls in that category. The more we can deter such drivers from being on the road, the fewer of them there will be on the road, and claims will go way down and then premiums can come down with it.

I’m not even suggesting that police pull these folks over randomly, but if they get in wrecks or get pulled over for a moving violation, tow their fricking vehicle is they don’t have a DL or insurance. Make them suffer and have to pay along with showing proof they are legal to drive before getting their vehicle back.
