Sen Hawley, John Kennedy, Jim Jordan and Ted Cruz give great soundbites then do nothing.

Apologies to Jim Jordan…… he also writes letters

I strongly agree with you! Republicans are still insisting on following the rules and statutes, and being, for lack of a better word, 'civilized.'

The sad fact of the matter is that that train left the station a long, long time ago. By and large, I respect Hawley for both his erudition and patriotism, but the gloves have to be off; do it the Israeli way: they hit hard, you hit back much harder. Tit for tat, and eye for an eye. When our people are being murdered (and it's happening every day in our communities even if the cases don't make the national news), we must hit back. Hard! So it hurts hard!

When we had an honest "media," finger wagging and forcing out the truth was enough.

I am not sure what people expect polticians to do when those in charge have the ability to ignore laws with impunity, because the "media" lies by ommission.

I know you two know this, but it doesn't make it any less disappointing. These people are in the legislative branch.

I'm responding to your post but it could be about 5 other posters expressing the same thing - a question, what is Hawley, Jordan, etc. supposed to do? They're congressmen, they speak, investigate, interrogate and vote.

The ridicule/frustration you and others are expressing should be targeted at the image in the mirror. We're the ones that deliver too few votes to get anything done. Also, we don't hold our elected leaders accountable - they can tax the shite out of us, expand their power to control us, and lock us out of our businesses, schools and churches for ridiculous reasons and purposes, and we enthusiastically vote them back into power and buy their sneakers.

So what do you suggest for those conservatives who live in blue states, donate to conservative causes and are not quite ready for an armed revolution?!?!

I have yet to be convinced that the politicians are doing everything they can.

That's a great question and discussion to be had. It's also one of the biggest challenges on the Right. If you're a Leftist, it's not hard to contribute to the effort - there are all sorts of organizations, unions, etc., that you can fund to lead the charge. Hell, the Left has won the game to a point that a lot of its funding comes from you and me through taxes. Education and planned parenthood are two examples - think of the billions of tax dollars "invested" in those entities and ultimately in Democrat causes.

Name the organizations on the Right I can send my money to (or get directly involved in) and see it used for (effective) efforts to limit government, bring power back to the states, or rationalize spending, the intrusiveness of gov't, education, etc.

While i agree the lack of action from the Republican party is disappointing, the blame isn't reserved just for the legislators. Even Trump failed to "lock her up" when he got into power.

Now you can give me excuses, whether legitimate or not, about why he didn't do it, but it's no different than the Republican party in General, and their lack of action.

The only place that action occurs by the right, appears to be at the state level, and the most impactful has been your enemy, DeSantis. You can't deny his impact, along with a Republican legislature, he has had on that state.

I agree. I like Hawley, Mike Lee, Rand Paul, etc, but they don’t actually accomplish anything. This is why I’ve always been a proponent of Vivek because that dude at least has policies that wouldn’t require the do-nothings in Congress to enact. I think he would have the balls to get it done as well. He goes well beyond what Trump proposes. In a perfect world, Desantis and Vivek would team up to clean up this country like Giuliani did for New York.

Or just circumvent Congress and get everything done at the state level. The federal government is toast. Best to be local.

Some of them would take every opportunity to beat that dick headed traitor to death of given the free pass.

If Dems are declaring his reign a roaring success, what the frick can a congressman do but inform the public?

They are woefully underwhelming in their action on most things, but the auto "nothing will happen" responses on this board are fricking infuriating sometimes. Especially when aimed at those who would take.every opportunity to do something within the law if the loathsome left didn't absolutely love the outcomes of these policies.

Elected jokers make laws... They have the authority to reign in any bureaucratic agency by voting " all policy for XYZ needs to be approved by the Congress"

Start by doing that instead of the 175th week of finger wagging
