Championships n the past 5 years.

4 Championships in Major sports in the past 5 years. Is there another school that has had near this success in winning the big games. Everyone of those teams had an elite superstar leading the way.
Most universities never even sniff championships.

I would say a major sport is a sport where all major universities have a team.
Lacrosse, beach volleyball, mens volleyball are not

Not “major” but the LSU Lady Tiger Dance Team also bagged a Natty this year in Hip Hop (not hyphenated, for some reason).
In 2021, LSU was the Men’s Outdoor Track National Championship team.
When will LSU claim that 1908 gridiron natty? ;)

I would say 5 if you include the Tiger Girls. That cheerleading/dance stuff is just as athletic as gymnastics and is a judged competition just the same. All that flipping and tumbling. Some of those girls get hurt as much as football players.

I still can’t believe we have 2 Heisman-winning QUARTERBACKS in the last 5 years. Never thought that would ever happen in my lifetime

If we're counting gymnastics and womens sports as major sports, Oklahoma has gotta be up here. they win gymnastics a lot, and softball and baseball are good. Their basketball team makes the tourney and their football program isnt too bad.
