Now many English majors end up employed in jobs outside their field of expertise
Interesting that you say this. My best friend from HS double majored in English and Spanish. During summers in college, he taught English to kids in Argentina and Brazil, where he picked up Portugues...
re: They are sticking with Biden because they are rigging the 2024 election.

[quote]I'm sticking by this theory until if/when I'm proven incorrect. Gavin will at some point replace Biden and be fraudulently installed into the Presidency. The "rules and precedent" (such as convention date precedent and deadlines for official nominations) don't mean anything to these establish...

That's 2 less bottles of really great whiskey but I like your enthusiasm
I played a meme stock last week knowing the stock price would probably drop but the volatiity was so high that returns on selling covered calls (at strike prices that the stock would probably not hit) was $$$ - so I will pul...
re: The Athletic - Winners and losers from Round 1 of 2024 NFL Draft

Sports “journalism” has been garbage for years. No one spends 2m to check facts or correct typos and run-on sentences. But it’s frustrating AF to see stupidity over and over and over.
The Sports Illustrated writer on LSU (somewhere else now) was HORRID and he’s one of thousands. ...

If he’s as good as the Penn State dude, you’ll be right.
At least Loomis didn’t blow another R1 pick on a project from a little school or waste draft capital moving up when they didn’t have to…the cost to move...
re: LSU - winner in the NFL draft according to NY Post - WRU

Think it’s your nit that Landry had an “average career”
Jarvis played 9 seasons. 7870 receiving yards; average of 11 yards per catch; 38 TDs. He led the NFL with 112 receptions in 2017.
He sucked as a Saint but he was injured.
Not average. ...

i guess having the opportunity to be coached by one of the best Dline coaches doesn’t mean jack shite to the DTs in the portal

I’d certainly accept all the free flights, food, and “courting” if I was in their position—and we’ll know soon enough who’s chasin...

Thank you!
These coaches make bank and they know the situation so they’d better (and surely they do) have clear plans to work with whatever they have. ...
re: LSU is the 1st school to have 4 QBs selected in the top 2 of the NFL draft
Posted by Ready2Geaux on 4/26/24 at 6:15 pm
It’s absolutely wild to see LSU atop the most QBs drafted list. Flat-out wild, given the overall dusty dearth of competent QB talent for so…many…seasons.
Nuss and Underwood (and maybe Hurey if he stays) will continue the post-Burrow wave. Exciting times....
re: Jo Cryer IOL true freshman to enter transfer portal.
Posted by Ready2Geaux on 4/26/24 at 6:08 pm
Saying “something terrible happened” is a wild conjecture based on nothing.
In reality, the guy saw he wouldn’t have a path to get meaningful game reps this year because LSU has some hosses on the OL two-deep in front of him and—can’t blame a guy for wanting to get in the field in the fall.

Didn’t count ‘em all…
Not “major” but the LSU Lady Tiger Dance Team also bagged a Natty this year in Hip Hop (not hyphenated, for some reason).
In 2021, LSU was the Men’s Outdoor Track National Championship team.
When will LSU claim that 1908 gridiron natty? ;) ...

thanks for posting the VOGUE story link

as much as I dislike Jemele Hill Landry is 100x worse - he made a terrible sports loss into a personal political tirade that will go on and on and on - this will hit national political AND sports commentators on how stupid (and unenforcable legally) his hare-brained idea of scholarship renouncement ...
