I'll get right on it

That's me too. Matter of fact, I haven't turned the AC on yet this year.

I keep mine on 71 all the time - day and night. I hardly ever touch the thing.

78... maybe if there's plenty of airflow. 82 at night and trying to sleep. Yeah, right. You might as well just sleep outside in a frickin tent.
I normally leave the AC set to 72 during the day and 68 at night. I can't stand trying to sleep in a hot room.

Ours still set at 68 from last summers. The thermostat stays on 69 all year long.

72 in the day, 70 in the evening and 67 or 66 at night when sleeping.

72-74 during the day
69 @ night.
69 @ night.

My mom keeps hers at 78 but she's old and frail. I find it uncomfortable at her house. No way I'd enjoy trying to sleep over there.

When those fricktards start paying my bills, then I might start taking the slightest bit of interest in their opinions.
Until then my A/C will be set where I want it.
I work outside in the heat and humidity every damn day, and I am not coming home to try and sleep in a stuffy arse house.

Energy Star can suck .... (you fill in the rest for yourself)

It's pegged at 68 from April to October.

I live in Iowa. Our summers are not nearly as brutal as the south. But Energy Star can suck a giant brown turd with that crap. 70 during the day, and 67 at night in our house and I ain’t changin’.

You’ve obviously never lived with a menopausal woman.

How about I set it at whatever the frick I want… because

In Sacramento electricity is most expensive from 5-9 pm and cheapest from midnight to 6 am. I try to get the house as cold as I can before noon and try to hold as much cool in as I can until bedtime. I don’t come upstairs until then as it will get to 85 in the summer. There are probably better strategies but it keeps the electricity cost below $300 per month.
