Biden admin suing Sheetz for discriminating against minorities w/ background checks

The reason? The company requires all the applicants to first pass a criminal record background check.

It is apparently a gas station / convenience store chain.
TBH, any hire I would make at a place like that should have the ability to do a Mozambique drill on any potential robber.

Any retailer that handles money/safes requires background checks. Dollar General does.

They passed laws MANDATING background checks on school employees and some states include daycares. They did so because in the late 70’s/early 80’s there was roughly a case/week in the msm of kids getting sexually abused and up to murdered by ex-cons working with kids.
The results were like night and day. Legally cannot hire ex-cons to work at schools now and reports of sexual assault on students has become more rare (need to reign in the women teachers to make it really rare).

Sheetz is great. Wish we had one around my area. 20 years ago, they had the touch screen menus for customers to order from.. long before any actual fast food restaurants in my area had them. Their food is 'eh', though. About what you'd expect from fast food cooked in a gas station.
