IT can see pretty easily if there’s actually a problem.

Her hack for that:

1) Turn into angry, black woman
2) Accuse IT worker of racism

Instead of making them 4 do what they hell they were supposed to be, they made us all come back to the office.

This is what I'm afraid of in my current arrangement.

An actual phone.

Nothing dumber than getting a call on Teams and then trying to answer, grabbing the headset, then have to do the stupid text authentification bullshite..

Yeah, a phone would be okay with me.

Don't have to do it at all on a phone.

Our office is serving as a pilot program for a new Veoci Data Management system. We've been working with Veoci for about 2 months now.

Teams is literally never "down" that's ridiculous.

Just buy a mouse jiggler for $14 on Amazon and buy yourself freedom in 30-minute doses

It was down once in the last year and I recall it clearly and have the emails with our IT dept. as receipts

This is why so many in leadership don’t take WFH seriously. Garbage can employees like this.

And this genius is publicly outing herself as a dishonest slacker.

Nah, teams doesn't suck. The people on teams suck. A former boss of mine use to require everyone to have it on and available at all times. Unless you were in a meeting or out of the office. If you showed idle, or unavailable, she would bring you into the office for a chat. She was a bitch. Glad I don't work for her anymore.

I have never done any authentification on teams for the computer of the phone. It must be the way your company has it set up.

In this case this is absolutely true...idiots have a DREAM job that does not require commuting any distance and are doing all they can to frick it up.

Number of State and Federal jobs with work at home POS is out of control.

Haven’t brought them back bc managers don’t want to come back.

Majority of federal agencies have had a directive to telecommute that predates COVID by 15 years. Very few ever implemented it to any degree because the technology wasn't up to speed and this very thing was feared. That being said if 80% of government employees did less work would anyone notice? Its far better to have them fricking off at home than fricking off in federal buildings....if the latter are shuttered or at least cut back some.

It would be really easy to monitor telecommuting....why it is such a mystery is a mystery. Some smart individual is going to come up with a way to do it and create a competitive advantage for themselves. The way to do it is not to simply take the same lazy lay about employees who spend 6 hours out of 8 socializing in the office and break areas and "trusting" them to do better from their bedrooms.
