My wife who is a hospice nurse is currently taking care of an 8yr old boy who is dying from Lukemia. It hit hard when she told me about him, because I have an 8yr old son. I can't imagine what that must be like....
I remember years ago they toyed around the idea of having a black crawfish festival and a separate white crawfish festival....
The "New Orleans accents in the NOLA scenes in Double Jeopardy. Also the horrible "southern" accents in Steel Magnolias was pretty terrible as well. I have never heard any southern accents sound good to be honest....
