Adding to that list of tips is TikTok user @oceantherapii. In a video with over 131,000 views, @oceantherapii says that if anyone says they’re having technical issues with software like Microsoft Teams, it gives you the perfect opportunity to say you’re having issues as well—buying yourself a short break or helping out a co-worker in need.

No on on her team cares if she's on the call anyhow. She was a DEI hire and was never expected to contribute anything material to the project.

I’m stating the obvious, but this is extremely dumb. IT can see pretty easily if there’s actually a problem.

How often does this happen that she’s even bringing it up as a “hack”? I’m fully remote & I’ve never had anyone ask me if Teams is down (nor has it ever been down).

Number of State and Federal jobs with work at home POS is out of control.

Haven’t brought them back bc managers don’t want to come back.

Our IT Department always knows when there's a problem. If this is her strategy all the time, get rid of her. She's worthless.

I deal with five of these cases a week..

Manager reaches out for logs to verify what user is saying, and we disprove users issues..

HR gets involved, person is no longer employed

You could show up to work high, drunk, etc, and they will get you help and probably promote you to some global management position..

but don't lie about work, they will shut you down

Teams is literally never "down" that's ridiculous.

Just buy a mouse jiggler for $14 on Amazon and buy yourself freedom in 30-minute doses

This is why so many in leadership don’t take WFH seriously. Garbage can employees like this.

And this genius is publicly outing herself as a dishonest slacker.
