Who is the idiot that schedules mid weeks vs ranked team this late? This team is cratering and surely doesn’t need another reminder of how poorly they are playing

The players weren’t that excited after all they beat Oklahoma…who on here would really want to place a bet that LSU gets out of a regional??

Who that? If he/she really does the schedule and not Beth or another coach then there is more issues within that program than I thought

They are better than LSU/ better players overall , did it look like LSU wanted to be there? They wanted to be at Tigerland or wherever they go because it sure wasn’t the game they wanted to be at. I will go back to what I was told by a travel team coach who has had players at LSU, the culture is bad, there is nothing hard that they do..it’s all easy..practice is easy.. workouts are easy, no accountability, they aren’t coachable for the most part, they hit how they want, they field how they want, they miss cuts when they want..the inmates run the show so to speak..if all that’s true and that’s what I was told is there any wonder after the big time players left there has been a precipitous decline??

Game was pretty one sided tonight.

The biggest thing is they just don’t show up some games.. that’s on the head coach..the hc sets the tone..

Verge Ausberry is the Associate AD who does football schedules... we criticize his schedules every year.

No clue…18handicap, I know you are a huge supporter so my question is there a chance Beth takes another job? I don’t think they term her this yr, the yr she set the record…

I don’t know how true or untrue that is, but one thing is certain: Beth Torina is the least impressive “winningest coach in x sports history” at LSU.
It was a bit of an eye roll though I understand you have to make a nice PR campaign to tout her “success”. For someone as young as she was with so much promise I’d have never guessed we’d be so average for 8+ straight years. All while holding LSU’s feet to the fire for raises.

It makes sense..the team plays with no fire, no passion much of the time..Torina is laid back and seemingly very nice and that is how this team plays. I will ask another question they hired a hitting coach that led the ACC in hitting and he coaches 1st base…please make this make sense…i took a look at their stats and awards…he developed 2 All Americans in 2 yrs, when was the last hitter that was a AA, 2 players transferred out and 1 is a candidate for SEC player of the yr and leads the SEC in hitting and this is the guy coaching 1st?? Its makes zero sense

I don’t remember Beth ever being mentioned as a candidate for any other job. Can anyone else? I don’t think she’s going anywhere. Sadly.

I have no clue if she's looking around or has been called. I honestly would think that an AD of a power 4 conference looking for a head coach would have her on his short dial list.
Unless something has changed, she is happy in Baton Rouge. Her parents have moved here and her kids are involved in youth sports and activities.
She's a very likable person and overall has done well here at LSU. We all want to win a championship, and I can tell you she wants one very much too. Has she made every correct decision as a coach? No. But neither did I, even though my career record in still in the top 10 in Texas high school softball. Maybe if I scheduled easier, or not sent runners when I shouldn't have, I might have 700 wins instead of 607-245-3...
I leave the coaching to her and her staff, the playing to the players, and the bitching to the rant. Lol..
But honestly, if she was to leave, who do you think Scott would go for? I wouldn't have a clue...
