Why do you think people like the aforementioned Mormons or some of the traditional Catholic types (go to any Sunday Latin mass if you want to see what I'm referencing) seem immune, or at least not nearly as phased, by these "conditions"?

Mormons are notorious for abusing government assistance. I don’t attend Latin mass but I don’t recall seeing any pregnant women at the large church I regularly attend, although two women are currently pregnant that teach catechism where my son attends PSR. This is the third pregnancy for both of them.

Oh yeah, the guy that runs PSR just had a baby yesterday! So I think Catholics are having some babies. But gone are the days of middle class Catholics having 6+ kids.
