Wow, that's a Miles-Orgeron level statement from BeBe J.

Not good.

I'm looking at the new College Baseball polls with Astroglide & Mechanical minus Yeskie at #1 with a 38-6 record.

The bigger question is what do you think their conference record would be in the sunbelt right now

Not something any LSU coach, in any sport, should ever say. Ever.

THE reason Jay, himself, told us why he came here was to coach in the best conference, against the best competition, at the best place to do it. It’s why Brian Kelly came here.

Its ThE reason elite athletes come here. To compete against the best.

He is doing it to try to leverage getting in the tourny.

Good lord this season has sucked dick, but we did win a title last season and we are recruiting at an elite level.

We probably missed on the top two transfer guys in Montgomery which we probably couldn’t get if he wanted to be with that specific coach and we missed out on Burns once the Friday starter demand was made, perhaps we should have let him try Friday nights for us.

I think Jay thought this would be a step back based on talent leaving and the nonexistent first class in recruiting. He probably didn’t expect to suck this bad.

End of the day JJ isn’t clueless like O or Miles. He also has a track record as a winner so he likely gets this turned around.

If not he is gone in 2 or 3 years and it’s probably Tony Vitelos shot to win a nc with us

They’d probably win the Louisiana State HS championship too but so what. Such a bad take by JJ

Burns agent wanted him out of the SEC. There was nothing we could have done to get him here.

It's just coach speak to the media. He doesn't want to throw his guys under the bus and he wants to try to keep them motivated for the last couple of series.

Politicking for the Post season has begun. 23-3 against a decent non conference is good. CJJ knows what has happened in SEC play is unacceptable but he is trying to build his teams confidence with the #1 team coming up next.

I hate that he said this but I also think he is right. I mean, our RPI is 42, SOS is 29, and Non-Conference RPI is 28. Our issue is that we are 3-12 in Quadrant 1 Games

Q1 games are games against RPI ranked teams. So if a team has an RPI of 41, it only counts as a Q1 game if we are at a Neutral site or at their stadium. Q1 covers the following rankings:

Home Games 1-25 RPI
Neutral: 1-40 RPI
Away: 1-60 RPI

However, we would never make it to Omaha anyways so it doesn't matter. You have to eventually play the SEC teams to get there and we would not make it.

B B B B B But we're not, JJ!

Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Vandy, Florida, etc. are in our same league and they dominated you THIS year.

We haven’t even played Ole Miss what are you talking about. And Florida didn’t dominate us. We were one strike away from winning that series.

They have played 5 non conference games against current teams projected to be in the tournament and I’m not talking about automatic bids. Texas A&M who currently has the 16th ranked SOS has played two, one being Lamar who is being projected as an automatic bid. Congrats to the powerhouses Tarleton State and Lamar for having good seasons this year and boosting up that SOS for A&M. Maybe if Houston Christian and Rhode Island didn’t suck so much A&M would have cracked the top 10.

You should look at the details a little deeper instead of always just depending on the ranking of a flawed system.

What that dude said is correct. They have played a decent non conference when you compare it to a top 20 SOS.

Edit to say I apologize…ULL the #18 team in the nation is projected as an automatic bid.

SEC
ACC
AAC
PAC-12
BIG-12
