frick Kennedy. He set the ball in motion to send our boys to Vietnam even though he knew it would be costly (in lives) and had less than a 50/50 chance of success but he didn’t want to take the political hit for being “soft”. In other words he chose his political career over the lives of tens of thousands of sons and husbands. frick that guy. And frick Johnson and Nixon too while I’m at it because they did the same damn thing. I hope they’re rotting in hell.

Agree, George HW Bush basically carried us out of the Cold War and was our President during Operation Desert Storm. I played a round of golf with him during a Secret Service event here in Kingwood years ago. Picked his brain a little. I might not be a fan of his son for dragging us into Iraq but I respect the shite out of this man despite him pretty well having the same values. His downfall will always be “no new taxes”.

It’s rumored that George HW Bush secretly opposed the second Iraq War (and unsuccessfully tried to talk his son out of the idea) because he realized that actually invading Iraq would be completely different than driving Iraq out of Kuwait.
Anyway, George HW Bush wasn’t a bad president, just a pretty unmemorable one. The Gulf War ended up being pretty unmemorable because the war was won so quickly. George W. Bush, in the other hand, ended up being extremely memorable for all the wrong reasons.

The US had numerous Chief Executives who served in the period when we had achieved independence from England and the enacting of the Constitution which officially created the office of the President .
So I would say these guys...

The Revolutionary War was fought for eight long years, finally coming to an end in 1783 when Great Britain and American representatives signed the 1783 Treaty of Paris, which formally recognized the United States of America as an independent nation. However, George Washington did not become President of the United States of America until 1789, so who ran the newly independent country for the six years following the end of the revolution? Several men held the position: John Hanson (Nov 5 1781 – Nov 3 1782), Elias Boudinot (Nov 4 1782 – Nov 2 1783), Thomas Mifflin (Nov 3 1783 – Nov 29 1784), Richard Henry Lee (Nov 30 1784 – Nov 22 1785), John Hancock (Nov 23 1785 – Jun 5 1786), Nathaniel Gorham (Jun 6 1786 – Feb 1 1787), Arthur St. Clair (Feb 2 1787 – Jan 21 1788), Cyrus Griffin (Jan 22 1788 – Apr 30 1789), and Samuel Huntington (Sept 28 1779 – July 10 1781). Why do these men seem to be left out of history books, forgotten by the world?

JFK didn’t trust the military brass, particularly after Bay of Pigs, while LBJ slobbered their knob and took their word as gold. There is zero chance Vietnam ends up the same way it JFK isn’t blown away.

But the answer to this question is the string of Presidents between the end of the Mexican War and the beginning of the Civil War. Their weakness and ineptness is what allowed the country to split apart. Fillmore, Piece Buchanan. Also Buchanan was the first homo President.

I don't know, but I am have been watching that show on Netflix.. The Octopus Murders and it uncovers some pretty wild conspiracies. One is that Ronald Reagan had people who wanted Jimmy Carter out of office and him winning the election came down to how he handled the Americans who were held hostage in Iran and that a supporter of Reagan had a connection to the president of Iran and he was paid $40M to hold those American hostages until Reagan takes office.. And they were release the day Reagan was sworn in, right after he was sworn in.
And while this doesn't answer the question, that seems pretty wild to me.

Shite man, we all know OIF was a pure money grab for that dumb frick Junior had as his VP. Anybody that says otherwise is a fricking moron. There were no weapons of mass destruction and there was no plan to leave that country a better place after we pushed their shite in again.

My mind is blown that I missed Kennedy on my list.
