This is fricking retarded. Spreading games across multiple streaming sites just makes it harder and more expensive for the consumer. NFL can suck a dick for this one.

Yup. But they're going to do it until TV revenue drops, and somehow it's never slowed down no matter what kind of horse shite they pull so far.

I’ll say that this is a mistake for another reason too.
Traditionally, Thanksgiving (and what I think they’re trying to push with Christmas) are days where families gather round to celebrate and throw the games on for everyone to watch afterwards. IE, they’re marketed toward a wider audience. Having them on traditional over the air broadcasts makes more sense.
I guess the idea now is “oh, we better subscribe to Netflix because people will want to come over and watch the game”.

It can't be good for the ratings, either. I'm an average fan, and watch a lot of games even if I don't care about the game itself. I like flipping around during slow times or commercial breaks. The games on Amazon this past season were the worst. I only watched a little bit of them. The quality of the games weren't worth the first-world problem and hassle of switching between services to watch those games. Either up the quality of the game on the streaming service, or keep it to the OTA/cable channels where your bread and butter is.

Bruh it’s Netflix not some obscure streaming service

Who says you have to watch them all?

The NFL’s mantra for decades was to make their product as widely available as possible for free. They were even iffy on their ESPN deal up until a couple of years ago. That’s one reason for the growth of the league.
They made ESPN way overpay for a crappy Monday night game and a couple of Wild Card games for years.
Now they are creating random mid-week late December games so they can sell them to streaming services.
