People looking to be influenced. There's a lot of people that want to be a follower. They want to know what's cool or trendy, so they can be a part of it. So yes, mostly young people and women.

It’s the people that will never work at something to achieve anything.

Those are the ones that get “influenced”

My 72 year old dad for one. Stopped by their house last week and he's wearing a hoovies garage tshirt. I just shook my head and didn't say a thing.

Plenty of people on here. We all know the posters who just repost their Twitter feed all day.

If it’s a young woman saying they’re an “influencer” or “content creator”, I automatically assume they’re a whore on OnlyFans

Everyone is influenced by someone or something. Marketing wouldn’t be a thing otherwise. The dumb social media types are just so obvious.

I think the amount of people social media influencers actually influence isn't that big. A lot of their followers are out of hate or morbid curiosity.

It’s not much different than any commercial on tv. There is enough research to show that commercials have an effect on shopping trends. It is relatively inexpensive to produce and actually reaches the target market.
