What’s your prediction for number of wins for LSU football in 2024?

I’m going with a 7-5 or 8-4 record. I wish I could pump some sunshine right now, but it would be a very disingenuous take if I did so.

We lost our Heisman Trophy QB and two first round draft picks at wide receiver, so our offense is bound to take a step back.

The interior of our defense is awful and probably a downgrade even when compared to our horrible 2023 defense. Hopefully coaching can make up for the huge void of talent. Not only does our interior suck, but we still have some big question marks at the various defensive back positions. If Major Burns and Sage Ryan continue to see significant reps, our secondary is in big trouble.

We continue to miss on portal DL who are going to SEC rivals instead such as Oklahoma. Obviously this hurts us when going against conference foes.

Our schedule this year is brutal and we won’t win consistently with our defense getting its shite pushed in constantly. We’re going to lose at least 4 of the following; USC, UCLA, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Alabama, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Florida, South Carolina.

Sorry guys. There’s always next year. Hopefully Kelly can get our roster woes fixed by 2025.

Anything under 10 wins is a disappointment. Not making the expanded playoff would also be a disappointment

You literally are arguing that the season is already lost 3 months before we play a game. That is the definition of a loser

You haven’t even seen what our defense will look like yet.

You’re such a bitch.
UCLA, Miss State, Arkansas, Florida all look like wins to me.
They can definitely go 4-2 or 5-1 against USC, SC, Ole Miss, Bama, A&M, OU. Keep in mind the coaching changes for A&M and Bama.

9-3 or 10-2 definitely seems possible IF we have a defense

We aren't making up for losing JD5, Nabors and starting a new QB. Sorry Kelly fanbois.

This is infinitely worse than people calling a ballgame over in the first inning.

My expectations are 10-2 with a playoff appearance.

Les Miles averaged 10 wins over a 10 year span and that wasn't good enough for LSU Fans...I find it hilarious this is the new expectation.

I believe that LSU will compete and stay in games the same way the 2023 team, and that's with a good offense. The O-Line will be really good, we still have elite WR's, and if our few RB's that we have stay healthy then this team will put up some points. With that said, there seems to be nothing changed on the defensive side. Last year was not 100% on coaches and they will struggle defensively again.

8-4 or 9-3

8-4.

I'm not buying in on the defense with the holes at DT and likely below par starters at LB, S. Can't at this point count on the offense being able to carry the whole team.

8-4 or 9-3. DL and DB will hold us back. Also a obvious drop off in offensive production also

I see USC, Ole Miss, Bama, A&M and OK as all toss up games.

USC is neutral site, aggie is in College Station. The rest are home games. I expect us to get 1-2 more DTs in the portal even though we missed on the top targets. Baker makes his money with edge pressure and LB play. We should be solid there. There is talent at DB, but it's not elite and has to be fundamentally sound. We have the coaches to get us there. The question is, how soon?

Offensively we won't won't score as much and have fewer big plays, but I can see long drives with an elite OL that control games. Jackson, Durham and Williams give us a nice mix at RB. TE and WR are solid and all Nuss is going to be asked to do is put the ball in playmakers' hands.

So with 5 toss ups and 3 being home games I see the probability of 2 losses out of those. Probably one of the away and one home game. So 10-2

9-3 with our schedule would be a great season. Also, depending on how things play out across the country, I think that gets us into the playoff!

Not if we finally play Whit Weeks like we should have been but I get your point. Not to be ugly about a guy that has stuck with the program but I really wish Penn didn't get PT unless we had no other choice.
