Did this board give up on Fear the Walking Dead?

It's not a great show, but I watch it to help with The Walking Dead withdrawals. In fact, no way would I even watch this show if The Walking Dead didn't exist.

It's purely a hate watch for me at this point.
TERRIBLE writing.

My family gave up a few episodes ago. I'm trying to ride it out still I really think they blew it. They should have really focused on how it all went down - a slow take on the very early stages would have been a great watch. But they failed at this even in the first season, and then for season 2 they stick everyone on a boat. WTF? Missed opportunity. If I didn't have all day every day with nothing to do, I'd have given it up long ago.

Episode 1 was garbage
Episodes 2, 3, and 4 were pretty dang good
Episode 5 was garbage
Hasn't seen 6 yet
The show is nothing but average.

I follow game of thrones with it. Its like chasing Redbreast 21 with a shot of water.
Writing and delivery are both weak, but the SO and I will finish out this season. If it gets better, her and i will give s3 a chance.

They took the Skylar White character...gave her a shitty, boring husband...surrounded her with zombies.
I'm just no longer interested

Still enjoy it but taking a back seat to GoT.

Aside from the old man and the black guy, the only thing keeping these characters alive is the poor writing.
-The blonde chick is exactly what BHP described.
-The husband character seems like he could be good if he was harder (more like the old man), but with him being written as constantly clueless it just doesn't work.
-The daughter is cute and all, but she could give Season 2 -"Coral" a run for his money in the "All You Do Is frick Things Up" department.
-The old man's daughter is forgettable. I think all she's done the past few episodes is sit around and heal.
-The black guy was intriguing at the beginning but lost his luster for me when he tried to flee on the raft. Smart guy like that trying to PADDLE away from a boat with armed people on it?
-Speaking of him, the gay couple had no organics to it, it felt forced and blatant. Like it was nothing more than "Hey! We haven't had two gay guys in the ZA yet, so let's grab the next two male actors and make them gay!"
-The drug-head son is annoying. They are trying to make him almost like a young Rick, but something about the character just isn't working.
-The other son... WTF are they doing with him this last episode? Makes no damned sense.
And that pretty much sums up my thoughts on the main characters.

Just very frustrated with the whole idiot survivor thing. They just can't figure things out and not constantly take stupid and unnecessary risks.
"We need to save them!!"
"We don't have enough food for them and us."
"But we need to save them!! I'm gonna save them....Oh shite!!"

I wanted to like it. I hate the characters and would like to see them all get eaten.

I watched all of the first season with high hopes and expectations. Actually enjoyed the ride for the most part but felt burned out by the finale.
Watched the first episode of this season and never bothered to watch any others. Two sports are in playoffs and baseball/Game of Thrones are in season. Not gonna bother continuing a show that did nothing for me when there's plenty other stuff I'd rather watch.

I just don't know why they start it when current shows are on. I'll start it up once everything else ends.

Have many more better things to do than to watch bad television.

I never got into it, don't plan to.

When they repeated the Walkers in the barn I canceled the recording.

Pretty much done with The Walking Dead altogether. Zero interest in watching the rest of the main series. After the bullshite finale there's no way I'm devoting anymore time to this shitty spin off

I hate it so much. But I continue to watch.
1. The dialogue is the most atrocious I can ever remember
2. The actors themselves are not very good at expressing any semblance of a relevant emotion.
3. The situations are insanely inane. The lazy conveniences these fricks took with the story is incredible.
The Walking Dead beautifully takes a situation and hashes is out from multiple character perspectives, through numerous conversations and sub-build up situations over the course of many episodes or even the entire season. The how we got from point a to point b in the plot is so carefully produced and presented.
It's astounding to me that in FearTWD we just kind of fall into point B of every single situation presented to the characters in a matter of no time with no relevant development whatsoever.
It's just pure lazy dog shite TV. I guarantee any random TWD fan could showrun FTWD so much better than what they're doing to it.
I'll keep hate watching though
