1972 – Jones to Davis;. "The Night The Clock Stopped" – Number 6 LSU survived an upset bid from unranked Ole Miss in Tiger Stadium by winning the game on a TD pass from QB Bert Jones to RB Brad Davis.[24] Ole Miss fans say the 1972 contest featured a few seconds of free football.

I was there too, I was 12 years old.

It was Bert Jones to Brad Davis, but I agree that was the best. We remained undefeated and the 3:00 minute drive included two fourth down conversions. Last game with my father.

UGA game in 03. Skyler caught the ball right in front of the student section. That was special, but.....Morris’s bomb is pretty much a top 5 any sport all time ending.

What made the Jones to Davis game winning TD pass so much extra great was the reactions of the Rebel's bench after the final second finally ticked off. They were throwing their helmets into the hedges that used to surround the end zone, screaming, jumping up and down in anger, but the helmets flying through the air will always be a great great memory.

Lets hear your favorite LSU football ending!
That can vary- best play to end would have to be Bluegrass Miracle. Best finish lasting more than a couple plays is probably Earthquake game.

Other sports, it gets interesting. Basketball has a ton, including the recent Kentucky game. But I have to call out, what year was it, with Anthony and Nikita Wilson, winning big games over Purdue and Memphis in the opening weekend of the NCAA tourney. Those games are why you can't host anymore, because LSU "sucked" and shouldn't have been close to either team, but played in the PMAC and took down to heavy hitters.

Beating Florida 33-29 in Gainesville after a fake 53 yard FG, a week after the Tennessee debacle.

Jarrett Lee SHINED that night. But why was JL playing that game? Did Jefferson get hurt late in the Tennessee game, maybe a sprained brain?

The 2007 auburn catch with 1 second left?

This is going to be a common answer. We had to have that play - that's the whole shooting match, right there. On an unrelated note, Ensminger was on the sideline of that game - for Auburn as he was their TE coach.

Now, I will say, my personal favorite is the Troy Twilley interception at the "Bring Back the Magic" game - I got to enjoy that with Pops Midnight, in really great seats, so that one is way up there.
