So if NYC and Miami have such high % and the national average is that much lower than obviously the rest of the country has much lower%.

In a way now I kinda want them to pass reparations to slave descendants just so I can watch the shite show hissy fits that will follow when they show up at the government office to collect their check only to find out they’ve got to show proof they qualify for it. Hell, I might take a vacation day to go downtown with a lawn chair and a cooler of beer to see the show.

Dude, you need to get better at numbers.
If almost 10 are foreign born NOW.........and almost 7% were foreign born in 2000. This means that ALL of THEIR descendants will be "US Born" but quite obviously, NOT descended from slaves.
Hell. In 1980, over 3% were FOREIGN BORN! ALL of their children in the last 39 fricking years..........and all of their children's children...........are included in the current "90% US Born" category.
And this is ONLY dealing with the foreign born stat an no other category of non descended blacks.
NOTHING close to 80% of American blacks are descended from slaves.
Sheesh.

1. That 10% now would include the 6% in 2000 who are still alive.
2. Their kids would count if they ONLY Married non US born blacks.
3. Any kids they had BEFORE they immigrated would also be included in that number. We let in a lot of families.

Throw Native Americans into the mix. Thousands of Native Americans owned slaves, representing all 5 of the Civilized Tribes. Hell, there were 2,000 black slaves on the Cherokee Trail of Tears. And the Native Americans were considered to be among the harshest in terms of their treatment of slaves.
I want to be there when some govt schmuck delivers the news to today's Tribes that they owe money to blacks for their history of slave ownership.

You’re assuming they had enough kids within their own community after they immigrated to equal more than 10% of the us population.
And that wouldn’t include and children they had with US Born Slave Decendants .
Not just more kids but so much more that 80% is COMICALLY wrong.

I am lilly white. I have a single West African ancestor who was sold into slavery in the US in the late 1700s. I would wager that there are tens of millions of white people in the US who have some degree of mixed ancestry.

Could you imagine the melts if some lily white people with slave ancestors ended up getting paid while some blacks didn’t?
The more I think about it the more I’m in favor of reparations to anyone who can prove at least one slave ancestor. Watching the results would be fantastic. Hell, the government already wastes trillions. At least with this I’d get some amusement.
