LT Gen Honoroe on Fox said we have marines stationed on the Bahamas and are available to assist in keeping peace.

Reading between the lines, we’ll be on the hook to re build this aren’t we?

Always good to help people in need. The money they spend foolishly is the issue.

PDJT, will agree to rebuild it for the Title. The UK can't afford it.

Meh I don’t really have a problem helping with this. Just hope the leaders are better than the retards in Puerto Rico

If you believe the hype, we still haven't paid to get PR rebuilt, so maybe not.

Weird thing to be already melting about while a few thousand poor souls may be treading water just to stay alive.

So they will house our forces, but a storm hits and frick them?

It's pretty amazing to watch some of you guys go completely apeshit

Don't help the Bahamas, but take Greenland by force

Could be worse.

How many long faces do you think there are among the Left that this thing didn't pound Puerto Rico at its 5-category level making one more crisis accessible for them to not let "go to waste."

Where they could get a few hundred thousand more Puerto Ricans into Florida just in time for the election.

Would've been half the battle won with only Texas left.

I don’t have a problem aiding those in need after a natural disaster. As long as the funds and resources are managed well, I’m okay with it. There are far worse things for the government to spend money on.

Isn't this what the clinton initiative lives for?

Rebuilding in the wake of natural disasters. The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Action Network on Post-Disaster Recovery was created in response to the devastating hurricanes of 2017 and brings together leaders from government, business, and civil society to address ongoing and long-term recovery, sustainability, and resilience needs.

The first "outside" people to reach Chalmette after Katrina? It wasn't FEMA, or the baptists, or the US Military.

It was soldiers and sailors from the Canadian military.

I have no problem with us helping out another country in a time of need, especially with manpower.

Probably quite a bit. Not sure why we should be on the hook for any place we cannot travel to without a passport.

I love the Bahamas and most of the people are good folks down there. I would support US help.

The Bahamas are British territory. I assume we are helping our closest ally by providing humanitarian aid since we are so much closer. I hope the vast majority of the cost will be billed back to the Brits.
