We usually are when we play Bama.

The reason we have lost to Bama the past 8yrs is because we did not have the offense to overcome their stifling defense. This year we have the offense and they do not have the same caliber of defense as the past 8yrs.

LSU wins this handily. It will look like the 07 Natty vs OSU.

Defensively. Auburn is way better than Bama. If Auburn has a QB worth a shite, they would be on their way to a national championship

Yep we'll see. Interesting how they throw stats out there like Bama having the "better running game" at 5.0 ypc. But we're not far off at 4.5 vs. better defenses factored in. Our top 2 backs, CEH & TDP are averaging about 5.5 ypc. You know what they say about stats.

We'll run the ball better than they think. Bama still lives off turnovers. Avoid turnovers, protect Burrow and we have a great chance to win.

analysis like these are tarded. just a random bunch of stats without a reason.

he gives the bama average per rush, and lsu national ranking. How about Bama averages 5 yds/rush and LSU averages 4.5 yds/rush but lsu played florida and auburn.

how about throwing in that the Bama D allows 30 more yards per game than the LSU D, against no one in the top 25.

Whether he is right or wrong about the result, just stupid reasoning for his prediction

Fun stat of the day: Alabama is -13 in points when trump is actually at the game.

And the best part is how the writer said Auburn "exposed a few things." If anything, it exposed to LSU's staff a few things that they've surely worked to do better/smarter.

When the other team gives you the running game because they fear your passing attack, take it sooner in the game (same could be said for the Florida game, too). But don't try to run with tight formations in the red zone right into against the strength of the defense.

And the "pro" said Alabama has the better running game, using yards per carry on the season as his reasoning. Considering LSU backs had over 5 yards per carry against Auburn and the team averaged over NINE per rush against Florida, I'm gonna call bullshite on that claim.

These two guys overall record for the season.

OVERALL

Joe: 51-11 straight up, 24-36-2 against the spread

Pro: 51-11 straight up, 30-30-2 against the spread.

This guy must be a pretty crappy Pro Sports Handicapper. Hope he didn't quit his day job.

They also point out how LSU struggles rushing the ball.
quote:

Tigers’ running game checks in at only No.76 out of 130 FBS teams.
Just ignore the fact that Alabama isn't much better at 64th.
quote:

The Crimson Tide defense is also ranked No.2 in pass efficiency

Simply not true. They're between 7th and 9th depending on what metric you use. I guess he has some secret handicapper formula that puts them at No. 2.

Our point totals have also gone down each of the last three games 42,36,23.

We couldve put up 50 on state. The offense was shut down at the end of the 3rd and Burrow was taken out

Also against Auburn our we didn't execute in the redzone, it's not like that shut our offense down

Careful with that. Remember what happened to the Gump that did that on Canal. They're just itching for some payback. And from scabies.

Until LSU proves they can beat Bama, expect this negative criticism by the media.

I didn't get that from the article, The score is not to far off from the betting line. Regardless, an Alabama writer thinking Alabama wins at home is not surprising to me

What exactly would be exposed? Offense can put up tons of yards on very good defenses and the defense is average at best. I'm not sure what surprises there are otherwise.

I’m not sold on LSU. Auburn exposed some things two weeks ago,

Here’s the issue I have with this comment. Yeah, sure...Auburn had some defensive success against LSU. The DL was amazing.

Not one writer anywhere that I’ve seen that mentioned the Auburn game said the first thing about Auburn COMPLETELY CHANGING THEIR ENTIRE DEFENSIVE ALIGNMENT/STRATEGY..

Burrow even said it in an interview that they went to something they haven’t seen all year. Film review showed that Auburn played a 3-1-7 instead of their base. LSU has to adjust and that’s how CEH came away with 100+ yards.

I don’t see Alabama doing the same. I think Saban is too prideful for that sort of thing. LSU will move the ball against this defense. I think the issue lies with Kary Vincent. He’s going to get toasted all game, IMO. Just hope LSU can keep up.
