Thanks. I had to look it up too. 5 hour drive. Hopefully I see more than I do down here.

I hunted Union Parish for about 18 years ending about 10 years ago.
Don’t know if it’s changed, but management was “brown?, It’s down” then.

Reasonable number of deer but not even close to Delta area. Madison, Tensas etc. Even Richland Franklin, West Carroll has better numbers and quality. At least compared to Union back then.

The rut is pretty much over at this point but there have been some good bucks hit the ground over the past month. Check out the “Buck Report Union Parish” Facebook page.

I have 2 uncles that have camps on D'arbonne and hunt around Farmerville. They kill some quality deer around there.

Good luck.

Thanksgiving week is usually the prime time in UP. I only hunted once during rut and it was last second I decided to go when I finally found the time. Heard a buck grunting right at dark, about 5:30. Never saw anything

Rut is over, and the dog hunting opened on Dec 4. Once that happens, the deer movement goes to complete shite if you have any dog hunters around you. Been hunting there the last 9 years

Shoot the first mature doe you see and dont think twice

Quality for sure but not quantity.

Union is always top three parish in state for kills

Coworker claims it’s just beginning. Says the bucks are chasing but does aren’t ready yet

I hunt off Hwy 15 north of Farmerville. Maybe so, usually I see all the chasing Thangsgiving week but I haven't seen a deer yet this year I quit seeing scrapes about 2-3 weeks ago.

Our land is in Lincoln Parish right across the border of Union, I had this donkey on camera 2 years ago but couldn't see in daylight. Most of the rutting takes place the week or two after Thanksgiving
