Personally I like Gainesville. We Won most times I’ve been. The Swamp used to be a great bar close to Campus and an easy walk to stadium. Fans are about like most other SEC fans in my experience. Most are ok if you act right.

Just checked and i see The Swamp closed on 6/30/20. Says it’s coming back in 18 months, There are several bars close by and an easy walk to the stadium. Don’t let the other posters talk you out of going. The FL/LSU game is typically a great game. It will be a tough one this year but my experiences have been mostly good and wins.

You know it's bad when the UM fanbase down here describes Gainesville as trash!

If you are going, may as well do something else along with the game like Busch Gardens, Universal, Disney, etc, because Gainesville sucks.

How hard up do you have to be to make a road trip to Gainesville Florida for a Covid 19 restricted SEC Football game?

That's Ultra Pump Lump level stuff right there.

Maybe Nashville, but Gainesville; c'mon seriously.

Seems like your experience is the outlier in this thread. I’ve been many times in the past, but will never travel to that place again.

Is it that bad? I am sure when people come to BR and park in the Ghetto they must feel like BR is of the same quality in nature and non crime as Castle Rock Colorado is

Does this actually happen or is it just something people talk about because it was rumored to happen years ago?
