A min/maxed tavern brawler monk is really, really busted…

A combo of a min maxed monk and a tavern brawler throwing barb (with a returning throwing weapon) are absolutely absurd, and especially so if you throw in a double haste from a sorcerer on each of them.

It’s a huge game. Once you think you’re ready to jump to a new Act, I would suggest looking up a bullet point checklist of the act you’re leaving to make sure you haven’t missed anything. For example: LINK

We are finishing up Act 1 for the 2nd time. In our first playthrough we completely missed the Rosythorn/Creche stuff. It definitely seems like Act 1 has the most content, followed by 3 then 2. Of course it could also be partially attributed to us not really figuring out the nuances of the game until we got to Acts 2 and 3 in our first playthrough.

I have no clue which acts have objectively more content, but I have warned multiple people not to sleep on Act 2. I thought I had meticulously gone through Act 2 and was ready to push towards “finishing” Moonrise. Looked at a checklist similar to the one I linked above and realized that I had *maybe* done 2/3 of the available content in the act, possibly closer to half.

It's redonkulous. Made Shadowheart a monk on my second playthrough just to try different things.

It's like the rest of my party were just spectators. They just watched as she tore through mobs. At level 12 my main, a gatling gun warlock/sorc, finally caught up at level 12 after respeccing and adding two levels of fighter.

Anyone still playing? I'm waiting for my new PC to get back from a repair, so I had to stop my playthrough just as I entered Act III. But, I've heard the latest patch has caused a lot of issues for people. Anyone experiencing any problems?

I haven’t played much this week, but I probably got 5-8 hours in after the last patch. I haven’t run into major problems, but I’m crashing a bit more frequently and the merchant delayed inventory bug is mildly irksome. But it’s perfectly playable.

I had the merchant delayed deal on Xbox x the day of the patch. It was gone the next day.

I had stopped playing for a bit, because crashing in Act 3 had gotten bad bad for me. Stumbled across a reddit post suggesting that people cap their FPS at 60. Took me from crashing every five minutes to crashing every few hours. Obviously not happy about it, but it made Act 3 playable for me again.

And end game TB monk is really, really busted.

I still need to pick this back up. Got my new PC back a while ago and have yet to actually play a single game on it. My 4090 just sits there looking at me in disgust.

But in all seriousness, just haven't felt the urge to play recently. Feel burned out a little.

180 hours or so to finish my first playthrough.

Damn that was amazing.

Had a totally happy ending. I think Karlach ended up being my favorite character even though I romanced Shadowheart all the way to the end.

I would suggest playing Fane as your main character, or if you don't make sure he's one of your party members. I would also suggest that 3 out of your 4 party members do the same type of damage, either magic or physical. That will make it easier to burn through enemy shields/armor.

Dang, already started. So since I’m a knight, I should have one mage and two melee?

I would suggest that. The way Divinity 2s battle works you have to burn through that enemies armor type before you can hurt them. Some will have only physical or magical, but later on most enemies will have both (unless something has changed since I last played, but I played the definitive edition, so should still be that way).

So it's easier to burn through one type of armor than both. At least I found it more effective. You can do a ranged archer type for physical damage though, doesn't have to be melee only. There are also some physical damage spells too.

And you don't have to be Fane, I would just keep him in your party because he has a hunch of unique insights into the world and provides a bunch of backstory as you go on.
