Playing through R:FtA right now for the first time and loving it.

Hope they tone down the "Big Boss + Add Spam" formula, though.

Finally pushed through to the meat of the game and haven't regretted it one bit.

It's also really short, so that helps.

id say there is some pretty heavy influence from darksouls in it but it definitely does its own thing.

if you dont like souls games id probably recommend watching a review video or two first before plunging in. I actually didnt enjoy dark souls (loved elden ring) but remnant 1 was fantastic to me.

Getting my arse kicked in solo play. Had to give up on the "electric puzzle" after seventy million tries.

Joined another game and man, there's a level that is a direct copy of Duke's Archive

But if you enjoyed Remnant 1, you'll LOVE this game. It's very similar but improves upon everything.

I've been very impressed so far with how they built on the first game with improvements to map layout, boss design, depth of buildcrafting, and various other details. I also really like how they approached the randomizer in 2 so far since I've seen more distinct differences between the layouts of the worlds I've dealt with and my friends layouts.

You're able to use a secondary archetype when you hit 10 trait points in your primary, right?

I only have like 3 trait points in my medic so far.

I'm trying to not play it during the week because I know I'll stay up waaaay too late.

It won't let you do that, anyway.

I dunno what the trigger is. I'm currently Gunslinger/Medic and my Gunslinger is only level 7.

Power Level is 11, so maybe PL10? It also seemed to unlock around the time I finished my first run through the Labyrinth, so that could have something to do with it.
