My Echo cordless and works great! I mean, it uses gas but it is cordless, technically.

But to answer the question, I’m going to buy the Ego carbon fiber shaft model. Loading string is the worst part of trimming for me and that auto-load head seems too good to be true. Tons of great reviews and I might get a mower next Spring.

Add yet another to the 40v Ryobi camp. Have had mine 4 years now with zero issues. Hard to beat for the price

I’m literally pulling out of Lowes with an EGO 56V 16” string trimmer. I was trying to cut grass this morning and I’m finally fed up with my old Husqvarna. I have had it worked on multiple times the last couple of years and spent a few hundred dollars trying to keep it going. I am tired of trying to keep the bastard running and I’m definitely tired of yanking on the pull rope.

Let’s see how this bad boy does. I’m anxious to see how the auto string feeder and winding works.

ETA: Just finished cutting grass. I charged her up while I mowed. Then did my weed eating. This thing rocks. I used it on the ‘slower’ speed mostly. And it did fantastic.

It is going to take some getting used to, though. I find that it works better going right to left. The angle of the head is different than my old Husqvarna. And I can’t control the speed to go super slow with the speed to kind of mow small areas. I’m sure those are things I will adjust to quickly.

Shindiawa T242. Will burn less than 2 gallons of mixed gas a year on the typical lawn.

I have two weed eaters from Worx. One is for heavy brush cutting and the other (smaller) one is for day to day trimming around the house. They both use the same batteries. I have been very happy with everything I got from Worx.

Surprised by this, I have a 40V Greenworks, and the speed is fully variable with the trigger just like a gas trimmer, as are many of the other brands I looked at.

It’s probably user error on my part. I have to get used to it, I think. It is supposed to be variable speed. Soo. Yea. It’s just me getting used to it.

Got an Oregon 40V Max several years ago. Still runs like new. Pretty pricey, but I got it on sale.

Gas is the best option never have to worry about a dead battery just need to make sure you have gas/oil mixture for the fuel. Very easy to restring.

I’ve got a lot of dewalt 20volt max power tools do I bought the dewalt string trimmer. I’ve got three 5 amp hour batteries so I never run out of juice.

I’ve got the dewalt pole saw too. They have both been great.
