[quote] I think Garrett and Courtney are okay being assistant coaches while their kids are small.

If I were a coach I would be cautious in going to UGA. Look how many coaches have been fired for not meeting the University's expectations. They want immediate success. We all know it takes time to rebuild to a top program. It will be interesting who lands at UGA.

It's a tricky thing for them and there is a lot to consider

pros
- alma mater
- they have great facilities. probably the 2nd best gym facitiles in the nation behind ours.
- they should have a lot of NIL money to play with
- they are a gymnastics blue blood program

cons
- no job security
- the least stable job in college gymnastics
- it's gonna take a while to build them back

UGA is a job that is not meant for a rookie head coach. It needs a proven builder. Honestly if I were them I would pony up and try poach another team's HC.

Seeing some UGA fans are hoping for Jordyn Wieber.

Please please get Lily! Hoping she really bonded with our coaches and team this week.

I posted earlier in the week tongue in cheek that when they put the iconic stick crown on her head and embraced her as one of their own she would be in purple and gold next year. Kupets out could actually make this even more likely.

Well the girls and jay finally did it! Great meet! The only downside I see is I think this means for sure Haleigh is not coming back. Sad but totally understandable. When you’ve won as champ, team champ, and aai what is there to come back for. She is the goat of lsu right now.

I have to take partial credit on the natty. Having a bad heart and knowing we were finishing on beam, I did not watch live. Just hit refresh every minute to see the results. Plus I am Irish so the whole jinx thing and all. If I can think of any more excuses, I reserve the right to edit.

I did not choke up at the end. Nope, I did not. Must have been polin in the air. But I am so damn happy for these hard working ladies.

At the start of the year, just had a feeling like this just might be the year. And now with the pressure off, hopefully we have more to come. Have a great freshman class coming in and still have some great veterans coming back.

Thank you tigerbait 357 and all the others keeping us updated on the happenings through out the year

It's like coach Gnat heard some of us (me included) talking shite.
I said they would never win a title with her as beam coach. oops.

Her and her beam team had an iconic beam rotation to bring home the first title.
all of them should be so proud. Aleah saved her best for last.

Haleigh cements her legacy as one of the true GOATS. Top 3 all time for sure.

Also glad to see Alexis Jeffrey, Cammie, Hoffman, SS all came to LSU from other programs, and they walk away as National Champions. Cammie, Jillian and SS did it in front of their former teams.

Don't be so modest. I see reverse psychology when I see it.

No problem, its been fun covering this program.

LSU finally got over the hurdle. Feels like LSU took some hard falls the last few years but to those shortcomings, adjusted to finally get where they wanted to go.

I also think Gnat deserves so much credit for how much beam has turned around and become much more mentally tough in these moments.

We have an extremely bright future. We dont know who is potentially coming back for a 5th year but the incoming freshmen of Miller, Chio, Licoln, and Zeiss is big time for this program next year. We will be back in the mix again next year. Konnor and Amari will only get better, and I truly think Coen will be more of a factor moving forward

Isn't Finnegan coming back? This is her junior year.

On my count, Haleigh Bryant is only the 3rd gymnast ever to win the NCAA Team, NCAA AA, and AAI awards in the same year.

2024 - Haleigh Bryant (LSU)
2009 - Courtney Kupets (UGA)
1998 - Kim Arnold (UGA)

Haleigh had a senior season for the history books.
- NCAA Natty
- NCAA AA
- AAI award
- SEC
- SEC AA
- Gym Slam

I think Haleigh coming back is a coin flip.
on one hand, she just had probably the best senior year in gym history. what a way to end a career.. the job is completed.
on the other hand, because of that senior year she probably stands to make a lot of money doing 1 more year. more money than she may ever see in the rest of her life. plus she is a fierce competitor and most times want to defend their crown. could chase the 10 record if that mattered to her.

I could see her going either way. She has nothing left to prove. On the other hand maybe she comes to work on her masters, she doesn't even need to do AA and can lay back more next year and preserve her body tbh

Just saw the snap of Kiya trashing her grips and reality just set it. I’m in tears.

It’s sad but she left with a national title and stayed healthy her final year. Best way to go out!
