Bo Davis can take a lower graded player and make him play as good as or better than I highly rated player who isn’t being coached by him.

With all respect I didn't even know he was still on the roster a few months ago and he didn't look good in spring either. I hope you're right. I really hope to see Sage and Burns take the next step also. Good guys that have a lot of bad luck lately.


We can't have a defense like last year because our offense is not going to be able to score nearly every possession like that historic offense they had last year with JD. Wisconsin game is probably a good measuring stick to what to expect. They had lots of slow moments in that game but when it was cranking the offense looked nearly unstoppable but it lacked consistency. Of course that's assuming they can overcome Nabers/BTJ exit. I think we'll be okay at WR. Lacy has immense potential he's always open and runs excellent routes he just needs consistency.


I believe the most overlooked loss on offense is Diggs but LSU could be very boom here with the younger RBs.

I remember when guys like you were listing all of the pitchers that we had on staff saying that our pitching depth was going to lead us to Omaha

These coaches make bank and they know the situation so they’d better (and surely they do) have clear plans to work with whatever they have.

I’m just gonna stay confident your assumption—and some growth/improvement from the hosses that we have in fall camp—will help us win USC (please Lord let us finally win an opener again) through UCLA. Then the D coaches and players will have seen enough offenses to be flexible.

And hopefully the D is top 50? 60? 70?

Anyone? Bueller?

I’d certainly accept all the free flights, food, and “courting” if I was in their position—and we’ll know soon enough who’s chasing the bag vs who’s not—but I thought the same thing. This will play out as it will and hopefully we land a couple monsters. I think we need at least 2 dudes.

The villain in this situation is the NCAA. They felt pressure for years to pay players and they sat on their hands and did nothing until they finally got forced to flip the switch. They rolled out a major change seemingly overnight with no thought as how to regulate it.
