In another universe I would’ve loved to take the gem of their class, but I’m excited for what we have coming in.

Seems it would do the opposite, to me.

I’m not for saying yes or no, but do you go for the for sure thing?

What part about Sayin looking to transfer after 3 weeks makes him a sure thing?

By all accounts, he would be perfect in DeBoer's offense. I think he's a fool. I'm happy for it, though.

He had his offer. He chose to be a gump.

Tough call. With Nuss all but guaranteed to start this year, the timing for the QB of the future seems to be a better fit with Underwood coming in after this year. But you still gotta keep his commitment for another year. If Sayin wanted in, then he signs right away and you've got your 5 star.

If Sayin is brought in, Underwood goes to another school. You have to decide who you want to roll with. I would roll with Underwood. Don’t give him an excuse to leave

I would have taken the definite signing from sayin no matter what. Underwood has a year to change his mind and get offers from other schools.

Boy had his chance. He could have been here and not at BAMA.

Reaching out and definite signing are two very different things. Sayin was reaching out to various schools looking for offers before a decision is made on where he goes. Assuming a definite signing is fantasy.

Probably reached out with a NIL number in mind. LSU said thanks but no thanks.

In the last week we’ve turned down 2 Bama groupies. I love it! BK letting his nuts hang.

And even beyond this - if we can only take one elite, superstar-type QB prospect, doing that in the 2025 class makes a lot more sense for us than doing it in the 2024 class. Even if, in a vacuum, you'd rather have the "bird in the hand" with Sayin, taking an elite QB in 2024 makes the depth chart crazy complicated as compared to 2025. Taking Bryce in 2025 lets us either go 2 years of nuss into sophomore-year bryce, or 1yr of nuss+1yr portal/depth into sophomore-year bryce. Both of those are basically ideal circumstances.

Too bad we can’t take him and trade him for a bigtime defensive tackle.

They're in different classes, also I could certainly see the argument of a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. I guess that's why Kelly gets paid the big bucks though, we'll see how it all works out.

Sayins best option may be Alabama. Go there for a year and get a bag next year if you don’t like it.
