I know Mac had a little drought but he has shown he can get hot sometimes. If Pearson turns into end of year Pearson like usual, we might have found a lineup strong enough to hit us into a regional. We need to take this last game in the worst of ways.

Agree, Kling is just not confident at the plate. Swings at stuff way out the zone, and lays off meatball’s

I feel this is the final move to make. Defensively the drop off isn’t much between the two.

Bingham will give us more consistent at bats at this point. Larson has been so good he has more than earned his spot. Pearson is proven to get better as the year goes on.

Maybe Kling just doesn’t have it. He is such a talented player. I hope he can figure it out but I think the outfield should be Pearson, Bingham, Larson

We have seen it enough this season, one bad play changing the momentum of the game & losing

There is a defensive drop off if you go Bingham over Kling but the offensive upside has to outweigh that at this point. Kling’s at bats have been really bad this weekend.

N’ah. Ride Kling. To accomplish what LSU wants to accomplish, he has to start mashing the ball with consistency. He has exit velo that Bingham doesn’t.

Either go with the guy with the high ceiling that can carry you to Omaha, or play a younger guy to get him some experience for next season.

Bingham is a good player, but I think he found his ceiling in the PAC12.

It’s like some of you haven’t watched a game this season.

.195 - Bingham’s BA in April
.250 - Kling’s BA in April

Kling’s OB% is about .150 higher than Bingham in April as well

Also, if you look at April in SEC play, that is Vandy, Tennessee, Mizzou, and Auburn, Kling is hitting better than Bingham.

In April in SEC play Kling is 7 for 28 with 5 doubles, 5 walks, 1 HBP, 3 RBIs, 3 runs scored, and 1 stolen base. He is hitting 0.250 with an OBP of 0.382 with 10 Ks in 38 PAs

In April in SEC play Bingham is 6 for 30 with 1 home run, 1 walk, 1 HBP, 2 RBIs, 3 runs scored, and 0 stolen base. He is hitting 0.200 with an OBP of 0.250 with 10 Ks in 32 PAs

So you want to substitute someone who is not as fast, not as good a fielder, and has not been hitting as well lately for our current center fielder? That seems counterintuitive

Take a chance we already know what Kling can do,, nothing. Give Bingham a start.

It doesn't matter if they watch it or not. The rants group think has decided that they will highlight every single time Kling strike outs, or doesn't get a hit. When you do this, and ignore the same productivity from another player then it's easy to draw the conclusions they draw.

When people already have a confirmation bias, any little thing will trigger them. Like when Kling strikes out, nothing else he does well is noticed.

I would say I’ve watched enough to truly not feel like it would make a huge difference. Hell put Larson in center if we feel that defense is the issue. I see a lot of kling supporters and that is great. The kid is super talented. He just isn’t really producing. Bingham has more experience and seems to give better at bats.

I guess we will see today if this works out for us. Rooting for Bingham hard to be what this team needs.

I'm rooting for whoever is in the lineup. It's Bingham today.

Did it? Had Kling played and got one hit he would have gotten one more hit than Bingham did in his spot. So you sacrificed defense for what exactly?
