Well, I the roles were reversed, Lebron would be spending a lot of money to get the documentary blocked.

So you are actually saying that they cheated just the one time?

No I am saying that they weren’t stealing signs using cameras in the outfield during 2019 season Bregman’s best year as a pro. The MLB knew teams were doing what the Astros were doing and implemented ways to stop it.

Then why didn't every team do It?

When the MLB instituted the rule changes to prevent it going into the 2019 Season, a year before all this went public, it was because they had strong reason to believe that multiple teams were doing it. SI has an article from February 2019 explaining it.

Why did Hinch get suspended if it was only "frowned " upon? It's nonsense.

Guess the MLB is the first pro sports organization to overreact to the public opinion. The MLB knew teams were doing this when it became public they had to make an example out of it to appease the non baseball fans that think all sign stealing is illegal.

quote:

Using video to steal signs and then relay it to the hitter is cheating.

Is it cheating? Yes. Technically so is stealing signs from a catcher on second base or one of the base coaches. The hitter isn’t supposed to know what pitch is coming so any time he is tipped off by a teammate then it is technically cheating but it is ok because it is considered happening on the field and not using outside sources.

Did the Astros, and other MLB teams, go over the top? Yes they did and were punished for it. I am not arguing that the Astros didn’t do what they are saying they did. My point is that there was nothing in the MLB rulebook or that the MLB did in general to stop teams from doing it until 2019.

Bregman got caught cheating. He is a hell of a baseball player, he doesn't need to cheat

I agree with this totally that’s why I am pointing out how great his 2019 season was without any of the extra advantages.

ETA: Link to SI article from 2019 a year before any allegations.

I will also add that I was wrong there was a rule stating that you can’t steal signs from anywhere but second base. So the teams did violate a rule in place. The new guidelines just enforced that rule better.

1. Stealing signs with the naked eye isn't cheating. They are doing it in the open. If they'd are caught, it is handled in game. Stealing signs with a camera and then banging a garbage can to signal what pitch is coming is cheating. Thy are not the same thing.

As for overreacting to public opinion being the reason Hinch and Cora were suspended is silly. They had a distinct advantage by cheating. Look at the results. Don't sugar coat douche bags cheating.

Oh well. We won't agree, but I respect your stance . Best of luck

Actually the Stros’ Away stats were better than home stats. It really wasn’t effective.

Bregman probably expected a warning...like buzzing under his shirt, banging on a trash can, or whistling.

No, I won like a man. Barely even wrestled and placed at state in D 1 - if I had a little more experience couldve taken 1st.

In the one year I did it.

And my football team went to the Semis 2x, back to back.

Suck it.

And yeah we lost to a roided out West Monroe, and I lost to a couple roided out wrestlers in close matches.

The difference was CHEATING - all good though I did what I did on my OWN merit.

Not steroids.

They just got caught cheating, everyone cheats in sports, I'd dropped the agent too since they are supposed to have my best interests in mind at all times that's what they get paid to do bregman would still be rich without them.

No, not everyone cheats dude.

Bregs would still be rich - but he wouldnt be a world series champ.

Shawn Merriman comes to mind - guy was awesome until he HAD to get off roids.

Jason Giambi also.

You shouldnt want cheating in sports guys. Seriously, its lame and ruins the integrity of the game.
