Look no one is happy about this year, but let’s not act like he can’t recruit. In this day and age he has to recruit his own players and recruit new players every year.

I fully believe he expected several players to turn the corner, they haven’t, and some of the portal adds were misses along with Freshman not developing.

I don't think that will happen, but Cousin Eddie didn't make it even two full years after his football championship.

I think most rational people expected a regression from last year's team, but I don't think anyone expected the team to be as bad as they have been. That is probably what has most people upset. It's the vast degree of the dropoff that is so surprising.

With the transfer portal providing the possibility of a quick turnaround, maybe Mike Bianco is the only coach who can win a championship and then survive multiple bad seasons.

Because O quit caring and wanted his money grab. JJ is nothing like him and will get things back on track, dude fricking works like 20 hours a day. Lost way too many 4th and 5th year guys and the phenoms Skenes and Crews.

I love how whenever LSU isn't doing great in baseball the entire rant becomes professional readers of body language.

2 years removed from a National Championship, they fired Ed Orgeron.

Come on, this is not so ridiculous.

It's LSU. Shite or get off the fricking Pot!

Nobody is immune from getting fired if they don't perform up to the Standards......

All you people who can’t see the differences between Ed O to Johnson are equally as ignorant and I’m not going to waste my time arguing something that is so obvious.

I can promise you Jay Johnson will not be fired at the end of next year no matter LSU record. Only way he get fired is if he does something stupid LIKE: Ed O.

Really? He didn’t know what he was getting into? Like all things, this season will have a beginning, a middle, and an end. We’re in the middle.

This was a very inexperienced team and played 4 of their first 6 SEC games on the road. 5 were top ten at the time of the match.

This year may be his best coaching job yet.

Yeah we were discussing this exact topic in our group chat. I think Jay knows he has majority of his own players and can’t rely on Paul’s guys. I don’t think he knows what he got into. Another year of this next year and I think he’s gone

Yeah, he never made the CWS prior to coming to LSU, and certainly didn't make it to the finals...

This season is unacceptable

What the heck does this even mean?
With the new era of college sports (portal, NIL) it’s become more and more difficult to consistently stay elite each season. Baseball seems to have the most parity. You’re seeing really good programs experience high success then being challenged to regroup.
It’s happened to 3 CWSC in a row. Even Florida as a runner up last season is really fighting it this year.
All the old expectations of total dominance every season for the elites is falling by the wayside. Fans need to readjust and enjoy each seasons journey.

Whatever ignorant shite you and your group chat talk about needs to stay in that circle.
