Him advancing on a pitch that wasn’t that far beyond the catchers reach can’t be praised enough.

He scores the game tying run a few pitches later because he’s 90 feet closer to home..

Great base running when it mattered most.

Was huge.

Morgan would not have taken 2nd there due to his injury.

Before the season started Johnson said in an interview that Bianco told him he was the best base runner on the team.

That should be revisited by our intrepid beat reporter.

I was shocked when they showed him on 2nd. He did a great job there. Huge. Put even more pressure on them.

Good call by Coach Johnson to pinch run with Bianco. Bianco is a very smart baseball player.

Yup. No one probably would have thought it was a bad play had he remained on first. Excellent read and a key play in the game.

Ell was probably hoping he’d get thrown out at the plate

I just thought it was funny quote (which is why I remember it). Because it wasn’t Johnson saying Bianco was. It was Bianco, who was hurt the whole time Johnson knew him to that point, saying he was.

That was fricking huge. If he doesn’t take second on that blocked ball in the dirt, it’s runners at 1st and 2nd then Dugas strikes out to end the game. Tigers lose 6-5.

He’s the best situational baserunner on the team and it’s not close. There’s a reason Jay always puts him in in high pressure, late game situations. He’s always looking to advance but he never puts himself in a bad position. Drew Bianco is very valuable to this team.

Definitely. That pop foul in the 9th had me thinking Tre would have caught that but we would have lost before he had the chance.

Clutch call from Jay and baserunning from Drew.
