Last night would have been normal Guidry mop up but mb he in Coach J

The book on Guidry has been out for a while.
Lay off the hammer and sit dead red. He is not commanding the fastball and it will eventually leak back over the heart of the plate where SEC hitters will feast.

Guidry still has work to do. He gives up to many homeruns and big hits in his limited innings pitched. Emotions don’t get you out of an inning, hitting your spots does.

He certainly struggled in his limited role this year but Wasn’t he in a sling a few weeks ago?

Yep a fast ball that barely hits 90 and leaks over the middle of the plate is a problem. If he was hitting his spots with it then he would be able to use his slider and curve and be effective again.
If he could stay healthy and maybe put on some muscle maybe he could gain some mph on his fastball

When he can’t spot his fastball he gets in trouble and goes to a get me over breaking ball for a strike. Teams can either sit fastball and get a walk or sit curve and crush it.

The kid started over Jackson Holliday for team USA two years ago, his bat would’ve came around. This is on coaching, should’ve left him at SS.
