Winners and losers in the NFL draft:

LSU: The three-way recruiting debate over Wide Receiver U. continues to rage. Ohio State and Alabama have plenty of alums starring in the NFL, but two more first-rounders (the Giants’ Malik Nabers and Jaguars’ Brian Thomas) joining Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase and Odell Beckham Jr. checks the “What have you done for more lately?” box.

I love these types of blurbs but they always seem to leave out mentioning Jarvis Landry and I think that is absurdly disrespectful

Well he was a second round pick and had an average NFL career

I’d love to know what their definition of starring in the NFL is. Ohio state and especially Alabama wr’s isn’t doing Jack shyte in the NFL compared to what LSU receivers are doing

While I agree, Landry wasn’t a first rounder as the post was saying

I’d consider 5 straight pro bowls his first 6 season as better than average. Then the Covid season + injuries slowed him down.

Think it’s your nit that Landry had an “average career”

Jarvis played 9 seasons. 7870 receiving yards; average of 11 yards per catch; 38 TDs. He led the NFL with 112 receptions in 2017.

He sucked as a Saint but he was injured.

Not average.

The first part of what you said--Jarvis being a second rounder--is accurate.

The second part of what you said--about Jarvis having an average NFL career--is not.

From Wikipedia:

quote:

With the Dolphins, Landry made three Pro Bowls and with the Browns, earned two more Pro Bowls. He led the league in receptions in 2017 with 112. His 564 career receptions are the most by a player through their first six seasons in NFL history.

I'd call that above average, but we can agree to disagree.
