I think Beloso could make it. He looks the part of a DH for the New York Mets.

I think he and Jobert stay
CF - Kling
LF - Pearson

I didn't realize beloso could possibly come back. That would be wild.
He's not going to the majors. I feel like if he wants to have one more year of fun, he could come back but I know he wants to start his new life and career soon.

the thing with Beloso is they gave him AB's last year after he blew out his knee. He had 3-4 ABs before having surgery. I'm not sure they would honor a medical redshirt, or even a normal RS in that instance.
2019 Freshman
2020 Covid
2021 Soph
2022 Jr injury
2023 Sr

I forgot about that. I think I can safely move him to the out of eligibility category.

I pray these two don't sign with a team after the draft.

So when we going to find out if he has another year? And if he does does he come back is the question?

So we have like 50 players for next year and transfers are about to start blowing up Jay’s phone.

The roster always looks bloated right now because the draft hasn't happened.

Could he have a job from like 8-3 and still play baseball? And do a NIL deal? Hes graduated right?

Morgan and Thompson are 100% gone.
I agree they will likely go pro, but NIL does change things a bit now depending on where they go in the draft. Both should be able to get good NIL deals coming off the Natty. I think I would rather be a BMOC at LSU than riding buses in AA ball for a year. Of course, you lose leverage by going pro after your Sr. year, but it might just be worth it. NIL is going to definitely get some guys thinking.

football now lets you play four games and still redshirt. don't know if baseball is something similar

Found it interesting that he was announced with the support staff/trainers and not the players during the trophy ceremony. I wonder if it's nothing and that was just the only way for to travel with the team due to roster limits, or if he's done playing at LSU and got to stick around to help out.

My draft prediction after following this process for the past few years.
First round: => Crews, Skenes, Mitchell (HS), Johnson (HS)
2nd & 3rd rounds: => Floyd, Taylor
4th & 5th rounds: => Morgan, Thompson, Jobert, Travinski, Little
6th thru 10th rounds => Money, Cooper
11th thru 20th rounds => Milazzo, Dugas
And I expect them all to sign. You could make a strong case that Coleman, Edwards and Ackenhausen should return unless they get taken during rounds 4th through 6th. All three have the stuff to move up into rounds 2nd and 3rd after a strong 2024 year.

I'd be very surprised if a team uses their 2nd round pick on Taylor coming off TJ and minimal college production (in terms of stats).

would love to know which ones will more then likely enter the draft besides the obvious
You don’t enter the draft in baseball. Teams can draft any draft-eligible player. Certainly a player can make it known he’s staying in college, but a team can still draft him if it wants.

They do not. This was talked about when our pitching depth was looking real thin and there were questions about having some of the redshirt guys play some midweek games.

Does Beloso have a chance to be drafted in July?
