Am I the only one that gets tired of the Media talking about how Iowa gets revenge against LSU. WE beat them last year in the real game that counted. They beat us this year, but they aren't in the big top yet. This happens all the time. One time you win, next time you lose. That's Sports. But they try to make more out of this game than the championship game last year. Guess I'm getting old because the Media tries to make more out of it and it bothers me. Have to watch my blood pressure. HA

I don't get what your complaint is.

The media loves to cover pretty much every sport this way where if one team wins their big matchup one year, the other team seeks "revenge" the following year.

It's like you people just started watching sports a week ago or something.

Womens basketball is over. We just took the first game of a three game set against Vandy. Move on! It's baseball season.

It is a sport that is losing white viewership. The same thing happened in the late 70s. Bird was the Great White Hope that (along with Magic Johnson) saved the NBA from going under.

NBA people want a Caitlin Clark who can bring in viewers. Whether you work for the NBA or one of the sports media outlets, if the sport is what signs your check, you will spin these games in whatever way favors your cause.

You should tell the Rant that. Some people on the Rant are saying move on to something else from Baseball since we have hit a hard rock.

TO What?? Baseball. That is kind of in the pits right now. People seem to think a day after a game is over you can't talk about it. What is the Rant for? Talking sports at any time. Doesn't matter that that sport is being played at the moment. It's SPORTS!!!

I'm not sure what you're upset about. Rematches interest casual fans because of the storyline attached. It happens in all sports. Do you not want the media to drum up interest in the product or event?

LSU is a very polarizing brand. You have to take the good with the bad but in the end, people are talking about LSU and that is better than being a nobody.

Who is Iowa's coach? Name another player on Iowa's team besides Clark.

That's right because nobody gives a shite. But everyone knows Mulkey. Everyone knows Reese and HVL and Flo.

After Iowa loses to either Ucon or SC and Clark moves on Iowa will fade into the horizon and LSU will still be driving ahead until we win our next title on national TV in from of 10s of millions of viewers.

Then stop talking about WBB if you’re tired of hearing about it.

It’s fair to say that the media is now a disappointment to anyone around long enough to remember when the media was credible and much less opinionated.

Actually I think mens and women’s basketball may be gaining more white players the last couple of years. With the heavy emphasis on the 3’s, it has been an equalizer to a degree.

Do you not remember how the 2012 LSU/Bama game in Tiger Stadium was covered and how hyped we were for a regular season game?

Stop being a bitch.

Revenge game is revenge game; doesn’t matter if it’s exactly same situation (ie; final four). Iowa got their revenge; get over it.

good lord, race has nothing to do with it. In all sports, fans like dramatic matchups, but is has nothing to do with race.

And the Bird/Magic thing was fantastic, but it started in college and then bled over to the NBA, where those two guys played for two of the premier, big-market teams in the league on opposite coasts.

It was a rivalry made in heaven -- and had nothing to do with race.

So if we beat Alabama the year after they beat us in New Orleans for nc was that not revenge??

Just wondering.
