Spinoff thread time! What losses hurt you, personally, the most? Maybe you had the game playing at your wedding, maybe you paid a ton for tickets, or did it just kill your dreams because maybe you invested too much of yourself into it? Well, who cares about the reasons, let's get to the PAIN!

1. 1/9/12: I can't imagine anyone not having this as their number one. I have experienced breakups and funerals less emotionally scarring than this night.

LSU vs Auburn 2006 (Refgate)
LSU vs Arkansas 2007
LSU vs Ole Miss 2009 (Meltdown in Mississippi)
LSU vs Penn state 2009 (Capital One Bowl)
LSU vs Clemson 2012 (Chick-fil-a Bowl)
LSU vs Alabama 2013 (Game of the Century IV)
LSU vs Alabama 2014
LSU vs Troy 2016
LSU vs Florida 2016 (Hurricane Game)
LSU vs UCLA 2020

Other than the natty title game, I'll go back a bit further:

LSU/Alabama 1996
LSU/Auburn 1997

You should talk to someone about this. It’s just a game buddy.

That’s actually my number 2. It sucked but I knew going in it would he really hard to beat that Bama team twice and in the end I was more mad at Miles for the shitty game plan than I was depressed.

To me it was the next game in 2012 that was the most depressing game I’ve ever witnessed. Bama at home and we had them beat until TJ Yeldon took that damn screen pass to the house.
That was the biggest gut punch I’ve ever experienced as a fan.

I'd like to add Florida in 2016 or 2017. I can't remember. It was the one where Florida was scared and moved the game to the end of the season.

Also, honorable mention to Arkansas this year. I personally haven't felt that way in Tiger Stadium in a while.

I thought Shaq was gonna school Laettner, but then he stepped out for a couple of 3's.

I would like to add LSU vs A&M 2018 to that list.

2012 Alabama
2014 Alabama

Don't think any other losses come close.

2012 Florida was next closest, maybe.

TBH, by the end of that game, I was just so tired and numb that I was just happy it was over

Have not been an invested fan until 2011 so yeah…
1. 21-0
2. 2012 Bama (Present in NEZ for that debacle)
3. 2017 Troy
4. 2018 A&M OT BS
5. 2021 Bama (almost)

I must say the most thrilling wins that I was present for were Auburn 2013 and A&M 2021

Stony Brook was pretty bad and watching the box give them a victory lap.

One that always comes to mind is the 1987 Midwest Regional Final of Great Eight. LSU lost a heartbreaker to Indiana (76-77) and appeared to be in control in second half until Bobby Knight started throwing tantrums and punching phones at the scorers table. This one still stings after all these years. I wanted to win a basketball championship so bad with one of those Dale Brown teams. They left it all out on the court.

The Florida hurricane debacle of a game stung a good bit. But it's hard to compare anything to 1/9/12. It's not that LSU lost, it's the way the game was lost. I felt bad for the players.
