Many are all over the place in these comments. However, we all witnessed Max play poorly and can honestly agree that Nuss should've been given an opportunity to play against Bama. I watch games all Saturday, not just LSU and I can say that I've certainly seen QB's that are better than Max get pulled for a series or so when they're playing poorly.

Hurts was playing poorly (better than Max tho) before Saban pulled him and put Tua in. It was a bigger stage but Saban was doing EVERYTHING he could to pull out the W.

Is Nuss "lightyears" better...probably not. But Saturday Max hadn't shown anything to support keeping him in.

Youthink a true freshman completing 40% of his passes vs back-ups is better than the guy who has a 4:1 TD:Int ratio despite being beaten into a pulp every week?

In limited work, he has done more for LSU on offense than Max.

No he hasn’t. He’s done nothing.

I’m not a Max fan and I admit Nuss looks more poised and confident. But we thought the same of Max in his 2 starts last year.

We really know nothing of what Nuss is capable of and it’s impossible to honestly say he’s better than Max right now.

But…I’m all for giving him the ball and finding out.

He was. Myles wasn’t that great either.

Remember when it was so obvious that Brandon Harris should be the starter? And he finally got to start and looked like he'd never played football before? I remember. I'm sure you're right this time though.

Unbelievable! Y’all need to allow these guys time to develop. QB position isn’t an easy position to learn over night. Since 2019 the offense has had two different offensive coordinators. Some of you fans know absolutely nothing about football or any position or schemes ran on defense or offense. Here is a suggestion, why don’t most of you complainers go down to practice and sign a waiver and volunteer for the scout squad and let see what you can do and if you can beat out the players on scholarship.

Well he was 1 pass that he put between the receivers hands from winning the game.

Johnson is awful. I will say he is a tough kid, however, he's not a good player.

Nussmeier is light years better than

This is usually not true. It is much easier to be the 2nd string QB than the starting QB.

It’s going to come down to his ability to take care of the ball. I wish Max made a few more plays, but he doesn’t turn it over.

This is a great point and a reason why max has been the starter.

Nuss is loose with the ball. He has more arm and leg talent, that's obvious, but the reason he probably isn't starting is holding onto the ball.

I'm a big nuss fan and think he will be great but will go through some growing pains.

We had a better chance of winning Saturday if Boutte plays rather than if Max didn't play. Some of y'all need to start watching these games
