He doesn’t. Typical tard shite. He may well be better but we don’t know this yet.

Max turned the ball over and was useless. At least try something different and give the team a chance. Bama had zero fear and enjoyed Max's weak arse arm, inability to make decisions, and inaccuracy.

I'm not ready to crown the dude because he hasn't had any meaningful snaps, but I can clearly see how strong his arm is in the snaps he has had. If he is accurate, he would seem to have much more of a chance to throw downfield on teams compared to Max. When your starter is struggling to move the ball, the backup is there for a reason.

My guess is that he probably takes more risks in practice that turn into picks than they would like to see, but holding onto the ball forever is not getting us anywhere either.

He seems to have a lot of potential, so there is only one way to find out how he'll do with meaningful snaps.

Only people who knighted for Max all summer are still defending him, anyone being honest knows he’s not a starting QB for a competitive SEC program. To me this is about Orgeron and the way he operates. The QB position was never going to be based on merit from the time Brennan went down and that just shows why Orgeron is an objective failure.

No one here has seen enough of Nuss to say he is "Light years" ahead of Max.

Is this what you're seeing in practice?

“Nuss will be an awesome QB”

I think Nuss has a lot of potential, but remember what he said about our 2020 D before the season too.

No but I do know that Max didn’t win the game. He also couldn’t go win it against Auburn either. 7 points against Ole Miss in 3 Quarters? Give me a fookin break man. He isn’t the guy. Move tf on.

I agree that Nussmeier COULD have provided just enough of a spark necessary to get LSU a win on Saturday and their was no reason not to give him a shot. But the kid has yet to play a significant snap for LSU this year. Does it look like he COULD have the natural tools to be a playmaking QB? Yes. But there is NOTHING to definitively say he is "light years" better than Max.

If he would have come in to a 20-14 game and threw a backbreaking INT to put the game out of reach the Rant would be FURIOUS.

I'm all for giving him some meaningful snaps in the final three games to, at minimum, start next year's QB competition early...which, with a new HC, was going to happen regardless of how Johnson played/plays down the stretch. But how about we stop anointing EVERY backup QB as "the one" before they actually play some meaningful snaps.

His play on the field certainly doesn’t show that

His play on the field at least shows he has the arm to make the throws though. Max clearly does not

Because he’s the backup.

They will say the same thing mid-season next year about Howard.

simply no way to know. He did deserve to play Saturday to see if we could win the game though.

Those people were all idiots to do so. Especially the ones stating that Max was better than Myles

And the same can be said of the ones crowning Nuss now on limited snaps.

Remember the end of last season Max led LSU to win its final games, hmm if Nuss does the same it will be de ja vu and then what happens next season when Nuss doesn't pan out. Oo yea we will be screaming for the back up.

Then season after rinse repeat. It's a never ending cycle

Not one person on this board knows who the better QB is at this point. Lets get through these last 3 games, maybe a bowl game, and then let the new coaching staff decide whom can lead this team in the future no matter whom it is

Yep, praising him now, but dogging him when he misfires, or make stupid rookie mistakes. Oh yes you will turn on him book it!

And I wonder if all the LSU football podcasts who were hyping Max up before the season started have finally realized that he isn’t the guy they thought he was. Nuss is the guy going forward. Screw the redshirt. Go win these last 3 games and give the next coach something to look forward to in a QB.

Give me the guy willing to go out there and lay it on the line with his teammates every Saturday. Props to Brad for allowing his son to take his lumps to learn and grow.

I thought tRant didn't care for divas.

This is what makes this board so annoying. These kind of superlative statements that are so idiotic. You make me think lesser of Tiger fans.

You mean most every idiot on this board. I remember how many start Max over Myles threads were on here over the summer. Before Myles got hurt this board was sure Max was going to win the competition.
