Once again, we'll open against an opponent with a game under their belt....

FSU has Duquesne scheduled for week zero next year. We open with FSU. Why let this happen again? Move one of the other non-conference games to week zero!!!!

We're melting about 2022 already? Sweet.

Not a melt...Just there was a lot of discussion about whether or not this mattered with UCLA.

You realize FSU just lost to an FCS school at home, right?
I’ll take my chances on letting them have…*checks thread*…Doo-Kane

I think it is a valid concern.
Why open up against a P5 program who already has a game under their belt? Former players and coaches admit all the time this is an advantage.

Also this game will be in our backyard. We will not lose to Florida State

We’re probably melting because we’ve seen this flick before.

Always open with a cupcake unless you have the talent and program culture to never loose a step from year to year. But apparently it takes our coaches an entire offseason + the first month to figure things out.

I think we handle FSU easily, I'm more concerned with Troy in 2025, will we have a letdown after handily defeating Clempson in the season opener??

Some are minimizing but there is a huge advantage to having a game under your belt. We seem to negotiate really poorly when it comes to this. We should simply require that it be the first game for both teams or we also schedule a warm-up game.

If we can't beat Florida State in its current condition, O should be fired right there on the field as soon as the clock hits 0:00.

Off, I agree with you. We need to schedule a game before Labor Day or never agree to play these games unless both teams have same number of games played when they meet.

Just scrimmage against your third team. That would be the same as playing Duquesne.

There is no F…ing way we lose to UCLA I mean FSU.

It may be the only way some of these P5 schools agree to play us in the beginning of the season.

FSU ain't turning into half the team UCLA is by Week 0 next year.
We only get better after Kiffin arrives on campus.

Don't worry. Urban has a fantastic record against FSU.

The real question is why aren't we playing them at home instead of a neutral site.
Oh right, the powers that be want the money grab, that is the answer!
