I feel awful for him. Seems like a good dude and it’s been a nightmare for him. Wasn’t he a projected high draft pick?

He was never an ace, people on here just thought he was because of one game against Florida.

I bet coming into this season you thought he could be the ace also. Come on tell the truth.

I thought he would make a jump after an up and down last year. Boy was I wrong. Like Rantz said, it's OK to give up a single run Homer when you throw it 95 plus on occasion, but it's inexcusable to give up a walk before it.

I don't care to see Hurd pitch again this year until he quits walking batters and starts throwing strikes.

I'm sure he will get more chances but when will it click for the dude to throw strikes?

His freshman year at ucla he was probably a top 3 pitcher in the country before his injury. He was damn good that year

I was hopeful but still knew it was more likely he would be the guy he was for 90% of the season than he was for the last 10%. I definitely thought he would be a little better than he has but I figured he wouldn’t hold Friday night very long

It’s really sad to see him digress this much. This was a guy how pitched great games for us in last years World Series, and now he’s struggling at home in a midweek game against UNO.

If we ever blow anyone out again this year…big if…he should get some innings to work on his shite. Otherwise, I would never give him the ball.

Not really. I thought he needed to prove that he could be consistent. He was bad for the majority of the year last year. I said the same thing about Jones, Kling, and Neal. Out of that group, Jones is the only one that has shown any improvement.

Have these guys really regressed or did all of our expectations get reset after they played out of their minds for a week in Omaha?

He will still get drafted on stuff alone, just not as high as he anticipated
Some team will use his performance against him to get him to sign under slot

Just like next year, Moffett is gonna get drafted on stuff alone throwing upper 90's, plus you have to be excited about the strides he's made this year and I think Cam Johnson can make similar strides next season. The best thing for both will be getting them even more innings this summer.

LSU doesn’t win the NC without him last year. If he does nothing else here, fans should remember that.
