The BCS formula was 2/3 human polls.
We'll eventually go to an 8 team playoff. Conference champs in the power 5 conferences get an automatic bid and three at-large bids. Then we can all stop arguing.

What makes the most sense is having all the conference champions play in a playoff to determine winner. They would just need to add another game for conferences without championship games.

Could not disagree more. Four teams is plenty. I wouldn't want to have to win 3 or 4 more games after our SEC schedule. That would be ridiculous.

Makes OOC games completely meaningless. Team could drop two OOC games and two in conference and still make the playoffs.

IMO, 4 is okay, but anymore is fricking ridiculous.
I"m not into second chances. I like the college season more than the NFL because EVERY game has major implications.
If the Broncos were to have an injury or just frick up and lose 2 in a row, would it even matter? No, because they'll get their shite together and wait for the playoffs.
IF we have to do more than 4 team playoffs, then I'm all about conference winners only getting in. Have the 5 major conferences and pick 1 from the little conferences and give the top 2 teams a bye week.
Win your fricking conference. If Ole Miss wins out and Bama wins out, it makes Bama's loss to Ole miss meaningless.
A 12 team CFB playoff means I (and many other people) won't even give a frick or tune in until the last 2 weeks of the season.

Spoken like the fan of a team that only has to face 1 or 2 ranked teams in their conference all year and doesn't have to win a conference championship game.

That same team beat your team in your stadium. And come December they may only be the 4th or 5th best team in our conference. But hey, as long as you can beat Big Game Bob and No D Baylor, you should deserve to make the playoff, right?
