This is going to be an interesting game. Based on what Texas has lost and LSU has coming back, I'd go with LSU. However, Herman has been great against big opponents (but if Texas is favored, he can't play up the underdog role). Also, you know Ed O wants this one even a little more than usual considering how much LSU fans either wanted Herman or Jimbo coaching here.

I’m no betting expert, but wouldn’t the game vs. Ga Southern who is missing their starting QB yet the line remains unchanged be easier money?

Vegas sets the line based on how they think they can make the most money. Has nothing to do with who they actually think will win or lose.

Texas 2019 is like Miami 2018 in that it is all Hype!

Texas won the Sugar Bowl and Miami ended the year on a 3 game losing streak.

There were plenty of signs that Miami was over-hyped.

Texas looks much more solid. They lose a lot of production on D but they are replacing those guys with more highly recruited players. They have a much better QB situation than Miami did.

True road game and Herman always has his teams ready for big games. They'll probably look like crap the week before against La Tech.

I mean they have Herman and we have a shrimp boat captain. Am I doing this right?
how many plays do you think each will get on the field for?

I'd much rather have brady and Dave over Tom and his crew.

Three of their 4 losses came to unranked Maryland, unranked Oklahoma State, and #20 West Virginia.

fair criticism but they lost those games by an average of 3 points. They had several ugly wins last year as well. Herman is notorious for overlooking teams. LSU will not get that favor.

Look at his team's performances against SC, OU, and UGA. That's what LSU is getting 9/7.

Vegas also favored Miami last year and well we see how that turned out. Exits stage left.

Vegas has us at 9-3. They aren’t wrong often. Mainly the schedule strength I believe. 10-2 to 11-1 is what this team should achieve n reg season.
