What is with the melt? Having coordinators hired away is a good thing.

It means LSU is successful and other teams take notice and want that same success. Wish him all the best but good luck finding players like Jayden, Malik and BTJ at Notre Dame. Sloan is ready for the job I have all the confidence in the world in him taking over. No need to look outside the building in my opinion.

Agree. I’m actually really excited for Joe Sloan.

When we hear about House getting hired away, then I will agree.

It’s not good to have them make lateral moves.

Sloan may be ready for the job but ultimately the guy in the big chair will make the best decision.

Losing Denbrock isn’t ideal but the show goes on and put me down for it’s going to be okay

It’s not a good thing if it’s a lateral move. But, wanting to be close to come is a legit reason to leave in this case.

Just on face value, losing the OC of arguably the #1 offense and keeping the DC of the #101 defense doesn’t look good.
Does it move us closer to a NC? One could argue that it doesn’t. Losing what works and keeping what’s broken. It’s that easy. We’ll see.

Yes, from coordinator to head coach or the NFL. Not when it's a parallel move.

Ya, the meltdown is we are coming off an amazing (offensive) season with a Heisman trophy winner. We are obviously head and shoulders ahead of ND, and our offensive co would rather work for them than us when his best friend is the coach here. Maybe he sees a brighter future there, but the fact that they have a great staff and we are in shambles when we are sooo much better than them is frustrating.

LSU baseball has produced three head coaches in two years under Jay Johnson

Your team is not successful unless it’s producing coaches other teams want

No, it’s not when it’s a lateral move. This is a dumb post. If he got a HC job you could make this case. But not in this situation

It’s a lateral move.

This is not the same at all as a “coordinator getting called up”

How do you think this is the same thing?

A coordinator making a lateral move is a negative to the program, no other way to slice it.

Denbrock didn’t just become the head coach of NC State.

It’s insane to be how some of you are digging in and fricking dead certain that House is staying based on nothing more than reading coach speak tea leaves and listening to idiots on this board either wishcasting or flat out making shite up.
